Mina's POV
I walked into the kitchen to have some breakfast, it was 5 AM and I thought I'd be the first up but to my surprise, one of my best friends and closest unnies, Sohye, was already awake and cooking something. I sniff and, maybe it's eggs? I peek into the kitchen and there she stands, over the stove flipping the omelets, I sneak up behind Sohye unnie and back hug her. She's slightly startled but giggles.
''Unnie~~, what are you cooking?'' I ask cutely...even though I already know what she's cooking.
''Omelets, here try some!'' She said excitedly, Sohye unnie isn't the best at cooking so I was kind of reluctant but when she stares at me, with her gummy smile, I gladly try a bit of her omelet. To my surprise, it was delicious!
Sohye unnie turns around, breaking our hug. ''How is it??'' She asks.
''Good, you're getting better at cooking,'' I say
Sohye unnie turns the stove off and puts the omelet on a plate, we sit at the table and eat together, we chat and laugh.
''Mina-yah, do you remember in Produce 101,'' she starts laughing ''When you and I had that ''dance off'' pftt'' she starts laughing again.
''Yah! Unnie, stop that's so embarrassing!'' I exclaim. she just laughs at me
''You're so cute, you know that right?'' Sohye unnie said, reaching for my cheek and wiping the bits of egg on the corner of my lips. I gulped, becoming nervous, I could feel my cheeks getting red and hot. I shyly smile when Sohye unnie removes her hand and starts eating again, she looks up at me and realizes how flustered I am.
''Mina-ssi, are you okay? Are you sick?'' Sohye unnie says putting her hand on my forehead, I flinch at her touch and get even more red. When Sohye unnie removes her hand, I calm down a bit and laugh awkwardly.
''I'm fine'' I try and laugh it off. Sohye unnie stares at me but after my face goes back to its natural colour, she starts eating again. I've never felt like this before but it's so confusing, I don't even know how to describe it, it's like warm and butterflies in my stomach? I'm nervous but why? It can't be because of Sohye unnie.
''Mina-yah are you done eating? I'll clean it up for you'' Sohye unnie smiles at me, I start getting red again after seeing her gummy smile
''Um, yes unnie here'' I give her my plate and she takes it from me, she heads to the sink and starts washing the plates. I need to test this, I get up and back hug Sohye unnie again. She giggles and smiles, but carries on washing the plates. It feels right, my arms wrapped tight around her waist, my chin resting on her shoulder, our two heads together. It feels right.
Sohye unnie chats to me and talks more about our Produce 101 days, asks me what being in 2 girl groups is like, if the gugudan unnies are nice to me, diets, blah blah. I respond and smile to myself, I realize, that no one has ever made me feel like this, feel this happy, feel so carefree. Sohye unnie turns around, again, breaking our hug, she leans against the countertop and smiles at me. I get flustered and step closer to Sohye unnie, I lean in close to Sohye unnie, trapping her between my body and the countertop.
''Mina? Are you okay?'' Sohye unnie says, getting nervous, her smile fading, her cheeks getting red. I bite my bottom lip.
''Unnie, can I kiss you?'' I impulvisely say, oh god what did I say, how could I let that slip out of my mouth, why am I so close to her, so close to her that I can feel her breath. What am I doing?
''I-'' before I can say anything and explain myself, Sohye unnie sheepishly nods her head and looks me in the eye and braces herself.
I stare at her and lean in to kiss her. Sohye unnie closes her eyes and I do the same, our lips meet and I can feel her mouth turn into a smile. Our kiss is hot and sweet, my first kiss. We break away and laugh, both our cheeks are red as hell.
''Again?'' Sohye unnie says, wrapping her arms around my neck and leaning in to kiss me. I lean in and our lips meet again, this time Sohye unnie becomes more adventurous and bites my lip softly. We break away and laugh again.
Throughout the day at the dorm, every single time we see each other we can't stop laughing, this is out secret, a lovely little secret.
