* A/N: Guys, go check my conversations on my profile. GO comment which books I should update and stuff like that*

As I walk into the court room, My eyes grow wide with wonder as I gaze at all of the cool stuff in it.

Our lawyer took us to the front of the room in front of a judge.

We waited until it was time to start, quietly talking amongst ourselves.

The beginning was boring. It wasn't as fun as the cases in T.V. shows. I did notice, though, that about half way through, some of my friends were piling in.

FInally, it was time to give my statement. It was really tough, admitting to a room full of people that I barely knew or didn't know that I would rather live with my adopted family than my own flesh and blood. I couldn't even look at Tom's face the whole time. But, it was okay, because I felt like I had a good enough statement that the Judge may just rule in our favor, or at least I hoped.

At the end, we went back home and it was slightly somber. No one was really talking. The only  sounds were Sebastian's TV show and his giggles and the cars passing by us.

Late that night, we all decided to go to bed. After about 20 minutes, I could hear the soft snores of my Dad and Seb. 'Like father, like son'

As hard as I tried, I could not fall asleep. I tossed and I turned throughout the whole night, my mind wandering into the worst possible scenarios.

But, then I thought that I should have a little bit of confidence. I decided to start thinking about the positive side of things. Dad, Mom, Seb and I, as a family.

As soon as my thoughts changed, I quickly drifted off to sleep.

The next day, we were informed that the judge had made a decision. We were all asked to assemble in the courtroom for the verdict. Unfortunately, we had to sit near Tom, with his smug smile and his attorney, with a smirk. I wish it could have worked in a way that Tom could have been a part of my family, but I guess it's too late now.

As we waited patiently for the judge to come, I couldn't stop my heart from beating fast and my hands from getting sweaty. I just didn't want the verdict to come, just in case it ruled in Tom's favor. Eventually, the judge came in and we all rose and were seated yet again.

And then, he said some words, and I absolutely LOVED those words.
