Kelsie's P.O.V
It was probably an awkward car ride for the other two. Not me though, I was quite comfortable resting my eyes as I listened to the Demi Lovato song that was coming out of the speakers.
"Well everything's the same, in the La La Land, machine.
I won't change anything in my life; I won't change anything in my life.
I'm staying myself tonight,"
I sang along quietly, more so that only I could here my voice. As I said, I was completely at ease. Until he had to speak. "I don't like Demi. She's really weird. And she sings about nonsense. I mean, La La Land? Really?" I laughed sarcastically. "Oh you can speak!" I spat at him, and he flinched a little.
I started laughing again, this time real. "What?" He asked me curiously. "It's just that," I choked out, "This 'nonsense' is describing people exactly like you.." I finally managed to get out, and he looked even more confused as I carefully continued to watch him from the rear view mirror. I was aware that Sal was sending me a silent begging to shut my gob, but I ignored them. "What are you on about?" He asked me, and I sighed as I decided I'd be nice and explain.
"You're so dumb,' I muttered quietly: so I thought, until I heard Sal trying to hide her laughs. She wasn't really succeeding. "She's telling the public and the paparazzi that she's not going to change for anyone or anything, especially not fame. Unlike someone I now have the not so pleasurable joy of knowing."
Once I finished we had reached the drive way and I didn't wait for a reply from the dickhead as I grabbed my bag. I ran up to the door and put my key in, remembering that Jade and Nate would be at school. Usually I would be over the moon to skip a day and spend it with Sally, but not with him here.
I sighed as I went into the kitchen, helping myself to the fridge. I grabbed some leftover spaghetti and chucked it into the microwave, jumping up onto the counter as I waited impatiently. I drummed my fingers, Demi's beat still in my head. I decided to grab my phone out and text Jade. "IT has arrived. Pft, you should have seen his face when I gave him my introduction of who I was! He was practically hiding behind the guards. He seems calm now, he must think I'm through with him. He has another thing coming!" I slid my phone shut just as Sally and Mr. Big Star Celebrity came in with all his bags.
"Uh, Kelsie?" Sal asked me nervously, and I groaned loudly. "Sure. But can you watch my spaghetti? Thanks, I love you!" She laughed in relief as I walked over to the scared looking celebrity and grabbed his bags. I started for the stairs, and when I didn't hear him moving behind me, I looked back. "Well? Do you want me to show you your bed? Or are you gonna stay right there?" I rolled my eyes after he finally picked the rest of his bags up and followed me up to the guest room... Well, I guess it's his room now.
I chucked down his bags with unnecessary force and he rolled his eyes at me. "If you have no respect for my things then don't help me out with them." He said in an annoyed voice. "Respect?" I spat at him. "You wouldn't know how to spell it if your life depended on it, let alone know how much it means to someone!" I retorted angrily as I slammed his bedroom door closed. "Yeah that's right, piss off toughy." He muttered, though obviously loud enough he wanted me to hear. "Oh fuck you, Mr. Superior." I told him loudly, just managing not to scream it out of frustration.
Stupid fucking bitch! And to think I use to have a celebrity crush on him before I met Jade! I'm glad Jade told me, because now I know what a prick he is! Just another stupid, big-headed celebrity! I muttered insults to myself quietly as I made my way back downstairs towards Sal. She had my spaghetti ready, and she was eating some as well. I smiled faintly at her, and she returned it... But I knew she had news, because her right always twitches when she does. I sighed, because whatever it was obviously involved IT upstairs and whatever IT was involved with couldn't be good. Sal sighed as well, and put down her fork. "You know me too well, it's almost unfair!" She complained to me as I laughed. I nodded my head in agreement, "I know."
"Okay. So, when you go to school at lunch," Yeah, that was the way it worked. Jade was cool with wagging, usually she wagged with me and we stayed here, as well as Stace when she was here, and we stayed with Sal: but the condition was that we went for lunch, or after, so that it wasn't that bad. I nodded my head, motioning for her to continue. She looked more sad then scared. "I need you to take Cody, and I need you to stick by him. And when I say stick, I mean STICK. Don't even go near Jade. Just. Stay with him, okay?" I almost choked on my spaghetti as I jumped down from the counter in shock. "HE'S COMING TO OUR SCHOOL? BUT WHAT ABOUT JADE?" I screamed out after I finally swallowed the noodles that were stuck in my throat. "Please, Kelsie! I'm trying to work Jade around all of this, I can't do it with you, too!" I sighed but nodded my head. She engulfed me in a hug and thanked me a few million times.
I was laying about on the lounge watching television when the king himself walked downstairs; no, not Elvis, Mr. Big Star Celebrity. "Are you ready, Kelsie?" He asked me, and immediately I jumped up, having forgotten all about school. "I just have to get my jacke- Wait. I thought I told you not to talk to me? Whatever, wait by my car." I told him as I ran upstairs, grabbing my jacket out of Jade's room. I spun around as I was heading for the door, but Jade's wall of photos caught my eye and I found myself, once again, looking at the picture Jade use to hold at night, all night.
A little boy, around the age of eight, had his arm slung casually around a young girl, maybe seven? His blonde hair stuck up in all directions, and his blue eyes shone with happiness. The little girls brown hair was perfectly straight as it glowed in the sun, and her blue eyes also shone with happiness, but you could also see the love there, if you looked close enough. They were standing on a field, and in a background there was a clubhouse, and from my knowledge, they built that. I sighed in sadness and happiness as I turned and walked out of Jades room.
"BYE SALLY!" I called out to Sal, but I didn't realize she was right next to me. "Oh hey!" I laughed as she hugged me goodbye, and then went to... C-Cod, IT! It's just too hard to call IT by his name... I guess I'll have to practice. Sigh. "I'll see you later; I'll probably come home with Jade." I told her as she nodded, and I sighed as I suddenly realized. "You want me to skip my bestfriend and take his ass, don't you?" She nodded as she smirked slightly, and I rolled my eyes. "Let's go Big Shot." He rolled his eyes as he followed after me, giving Sal a hug on his way out.
The ride there was quiet, and though it wasn't awkward for me, I didn't know about him though. "I hope you have fun today. You're gonna get swarmed!" I laughed. He rolled his eyes. "I brought disguises! I'm not THAT stupid." It was my turn to roll my eyes. "Don't worry about putting on your lame hat and sunnys, people are gonna recognize you when the teachers call your name out, stupid!" He just 'Oh'ed as he pulled off his brilliant disguise, causing me to laugh once again.
"Here we go! Oh, and look! Luck is on your side! There are all the popular people, I guess their your soon to be friends! I hope you enjoy it buddy, you worked hard to earn it!" I opened my door as I got out, grabbing my bag. I started to walk off, but he ran and caught up to me. "Hey, wait! Whoa! No explanations? No tours? Nothing?" He asked me as he fell into step with me. "Oh you can follow me if you like... But I'm meeting up with Jade right now." He shrugged his shoulders as he said, "Well I have to cop the beating sometime, right?" He asked me with no emotion, though I saw the pain in his eyes before he could shield them. I sighed: this is going be a long day!
