------JADES P.O.V!------
I walked towards where I was meeting Kelsie with Nate by my side. I knew he could tell I was worried, and possibly scared, but as he took my hand and gave it a little squeeze, my nerves suddenly flew away, out the window; gone.
I squeezed back and even managed a little smile before we finally arrived by my locker, where they were both waiting. Cody hadn't noticed me yet, he was looking annoyingly at the crowd of what looked to be the whole student body. He groaned before looking up, and as my eyes roamed his face my breath caught; he's just as beautiful as I remember him.
Everyone around me seemed to dissapear as his eyes, which had previously been looking over my face, locked with mine in an intense gaze. I saw hurt and regret in his shining blue eyes before they masked into nothingness, just curiousity. Suddenly I was brought out of the moment as Kelsie shook me.
"Huh?" I asked her and as she sighed. She gave me the look, that signaled to play along - yeah we have codes. "Jade, this is Cody and you now have the pleasure of meeting him." I realized that she had chosen option two; pretend it's our first time meeting. I saw Cody looking between us confuesed, but I pushed this and my hurt aside as I outstretched my hand in a 'friendly' gesture. I think he realized...
He grasped my small hand in his firm one, and it completely enclosed mine. Instantly I felt the shocking currents run through my hand; the feeling of my bestfriend. I always use to feel this between us when we were bestfriends. He suddenly pulled my hand and brought me into him, hugging me. "Don't pretend you don't know or remember me Jay, that hurts... And even though I hurt you, that's just too unbearable." He whispered into my ear and it caused me to shudder. Oh how much I've missed him... But no matter how much, I couldn't hug him back, and I'm thankful for that.
I pulled away after that and stepped back from him, purposely looking elsewhere. Suddenly I was pushed into the lockers as about eleven girls finally broke the on-looking crowd and bolted over, swarming Mr. Big Star Celebrity. I groaned as I grabbed my head, and as I looked at the girls I noticed half of the cheerleading team clinging to Cody. This kind of pissed me off; just a little.
I regained my step and straightened up with the help of Nate. I thanked him and looked over to the swarming girls. I sighed and rolled my eyes. I grabbed an angry looking Kelsie and pulled her away before she done some damage. Reluctantly, she followed after Nate and I, even though there was hardly a choice as I practically dragged her. "Nice meeting you," I muttered as we got out of the crowd.
------CODYS P.O.V!------
"Nice meeting you," I heard her mutter as she pulled Kelsie away and that guy pulled her away... I wonder who he is? Seeing Jade was heart warming, beautiful, natural. Hugging her was wonderful, right and normal. But seeing her act as i she didn't know who I was hurt; but if she continued to act like that, then I could play that game too! I know I was a bastard back then, but... Well look where I am now!
"Oh my god! You're like, SO hot!" "Can I have your autograph?" "Can you sing me a song?" "Act out my favorite scene!" "Can I get a picture of you?" "Can I get a picture WITH you?" My head was beginning to hurt from all the questions the girls were asking, and before the rest of the student body could join I shut them all up. "GIRLS! I'll be here ALL year! Could I possibly go and get my locker number and schedual, then maybe I'll sign later or tomorrow?" All of them nodded their heads eagerly; there's no way they're getting autographs! They've been STOOGED!
I walked away and followed all the signs that soon enough led me to the main office. "Hey there, I was wondering if I coul-" I started talking to the office lady, who looked about twenty three years old. "OH MY FREAKING GOD! YOU'RE CODY LINLEY!" She squealed as I groaned. Kelsie was right; this is gonna be a fun experiance and the next few days will be long ones. How awesome... NOT!
