Later that day, both girls still lay on the couch, having finished breakfast and cleaned up the mess that had been made around the two bedroom apartment. Now Diana and Hallie were discussing random topics after playing a two hour game of UNO, the current topic was superheroes, and which was better, Iron man or the Gotham hero, Batman.

Hallie smiled, able to bring out a final opinion before changing the topic, "I personally prefer the villains, just because their minds are less morals, more puzzles. Okay, new topic, should it count as self-defence if you attack someone who broke into your house?"

"Depends on how injured they are and if they attacked you first." Replied the brown-eyed woman, looking down at her fist, remember how many people had their jaws busted by the same hand that works to save millions.

"See you tomorrow," The blonde said, waving as she exited the apartment block, heading for the stairs, muttering something about needing to work on her cardio.

The next day, Diana awoke to her Monday morning alarm on her phone ringing like a little bitch at seven thirty in the morning. Sighing, the brunette rolled over, turning it off before actually getting up.

Making a cup of tea and taking a strawberry pop tart from the box and eating on the go as she tried to prepare everything she needed for work. Feeling a weird twitch coming on in her left wrist, Diana suddenly felt uneasy. "Damnit." She said, upset at how superstitious she was, but that twitch had always predicted when something was about to go down, like a sixth sense.

"I really hate myself sometimes," The goddess groaned, moving to change out of her pyjamas and into a comfortable pair of underwear and a strapless bra before pulling on the gladiator-themed mini dress that was the god-killer armour. Diana looked down at the skirt of the armour, really hating how difficult it'd be to style herself with armour underneath, "This'll be hard to work with won't it."

Next, a long-sleeved black dress was pulled over the top of the armour, the skirt flaring at the waist out so there weren't any outlines, and the boots being placed in the passenger seat of her car along with a black cloak. The Amazon quickly double checked that everything was still in the boxes in the backseat of her car before taking the elevator to finish her morning routine.

Long hair was brushed harshly and pulled back into a neat fishtail braid after the woman applied deodorant and then a little bit of makeup to cover up the bags that sometimes appear under her eyes for no reason.

Two-inch heels were slipped on as she passed the pile of shoes near the front door as she walked out to one of her favourite cars that she has been lucky enough to call her own, a 67' chevy impala. (A/N; I had to, I'm sorry. )

Arriving a few minutes before ten, the woman clocked in, greeting a few of her coworkers that bid her good morning, and then being especially nice to the ones she knew absolutely despised working with her.

At least three hours later, a phone run, Diana immediately looked around for the noise, only to realise she was alone in her own office and that it was her own phone going off. Quickly, she snatched it up, answering as fast as she could while trying to seem sophisticated.

"Hello?" She asked in a calm manner, not bothering with the caller ID.

"Di, we might need some help with this." The voice of a red-haired assassin told her.

"Who you talkin' to Tash?"She heard a familiar voice say in the background.

"Diana." Nat stated quietly.

"Is that Clint?" Diana asked her.

"Yes, ugh, no you can't talk to her..." Natasha growled, a slap sounding through the phone as she tried to stop him from talking while flying a plane.  "Loki's releasing aliens in New York. We need your help." She muttered loudly enough for Diana to hear.

"Bye," Were the last words of the Amazon's as she hung up, running out of the building, practically diving for the cover of her car after reaching the parking lot. Heels were kicked off as well as a dress being unzipped and removed, red and gold boots reaching just above her knees were pulled on, then the wraps that went around her fists and finally the war bracelets, until her eyes caught the one piece she felt slightly heasitant about.

"For the pride of my people and the throne of Olympus." She told herself, reaching for the crown that had been her main icon for many years and a piece that was extracted from the crown worn by her aunt many years ago. Removing the braid, her naturally wavy hair was now in princess curls.

Tying the leather strap around her was simple, though trying to attach the shield to her back was a little weird, and the sword at her hip, along with the dagger and golden lasso. Quickly fastening the cloak she began to fly, up to the highest place in the Manhattan area, the empire state building.

Leaning against the top peak while trying to balance on the ledge, that was barely a foot across, Diana giggled at the memory of a book saying this is the place that leads to the new location of Mount Olympus.
