"Wow." Hallie said as her eyes practically bulged out of her head, "Th- this place is amazing."

"It's home."

"You grew up here?!"

"MOTHER!" Diana yelled, seeing a blonde woman on a white steed cantering towards them with the rest of the Amazons behind her. The woman stepped off her horse gracefully and pulled her daughter into a tight hug.

"You have brought a friend, eh?" Hippolyta smiled at her daughter, surveying the grey eyed girl. "What is your name child?"

"I'm Helena, but everyone calls me Hallie." Hal's real name was Harleen, but she changed it to Helena as soon as she was eighteen, due to her being constantly bullied for her name throughout her school years.

Diana and Hallie were playfully sparring on the beach, Hallie swung her spear forwards, to be blocked by Diana's own, the brunette twised her grip and wrestled the javelin like weapon out of the other girl's grip, flinging spear next to a nearby rock. "You're a lot better than you were when you started, my friend."

Hallie smirked, and picked up her weapon of choice, the blonde girl had a basic knowledge of how to use most weapons in the arsenal of the Amazons, but what she excelled with was a club, mace and spear, claiming it's just like a baseball bat. The woman from the outside world had loved spending a vacation with the warriors, she learned how to fight and was living in a place that looked like it was from a travel magazine, it was definitely a win.

"Thanks, Sparky, it means a lot." Diana grabbed her spear as the only other person on the eastern side of the beach grabbed hers. The two girls began their battle again until sundown. Both walked to the horses and settled the thick material of their red cloaks over their shoulders.

Diana was forced by Hallie one day during their stay on the isle to go to Olympus and found a whole bunch of thick, red silk, the left overs from Athena's collections from when she went through that weird stage of weaving. Hallie had found an abundance of gold silk as well. By luck, some of the women's cloaks had become worn and Amazon's being drunk on feminism and stuff had grown to hate sewing. Hallie joked about that they must have took the whole, 'We do not sow' thing from Game of Thrones and made it into, 'We do not sew

Seventy-eight hours after that day every amazon had a new cape that shimmered with gold trimmings and there were two extremely tired girls lazing about all day under the shade of the marble rooftops.

On another day Diana wanted Hallie to improve her stamina, by running the perimeter of the entire fucking island. After about four hours of running the girls, both lacking in cardio skills, which they both thought they actually had, soon ended up throwing pine cones at eachother. Laughing all the way before getting scolded by Melanippe for accidentally throwing pine cones onto the training field, hitting her in the head and becoming a tripping hazard.

"Di-"

"Yeah Hal?"

"Could we watch the news."

"Problem is that we can only get the Italian news here."

"You can speak Italian though, and guess what! I can too! Yeah, that's it, I'm smart, take that Tiffany from third grade!"

"Calm down, you're split personality is showing," Diana said as she glanced at Hallie, who's normal silver-grey eyes were more of a sky blue and her hair a lighter shade of blonde, a bit darker and more blonde than your stereotypical Targaryen hair colour.

"Tiffany was a fucking bitch though." The blonde smirked, her eyes and hair fading back to their normal colourings.
