It's funny how in one moment the world can seem so wonderful and perfect, and then in the next it feels like you would be better off in hell. Life's funny that way. It can change from unbelievably good to unbelievably bad in seconds. Just hours before, I was happy. Now it feels like I'm all the happiness that I one had was replaced with despair.

"Tris just please look at me." My best friend Christina whispers.

"I know you're hurting right now, but I can't help you if I don't know what's wrong." She tells me.

I sigh and turn to face her. My hands shake in my lap as my puffy grey eyes stare into her dark brown ones. I quickly look away and mumble something under my breathe.

"What was that?" She says.

"Al cheated on me." I say just the tiniest bit louder.

It was loud enough for her to hear though. Her eyes widen and she gasps. She pulls me in for a bone crushing hug. The tears that I had somehow manged to stop start again.

Al had been my boyfriend for just over a year. The only reason I started dating him was to get over Four, one of my best friends. I had a crush on him since we were twelve and no matter what i did, it wouldn't go away. Once we became older he started getting lots of girlfriends, and by girlfriends I mean hookups. He would date a girl for a few weeks, tell her that he loved her, sleep with her, then move on to the next. Even through all that I still liked him. I knew I could never be one of his 'girlfriends' because all the girls he slept with were beautiful, tall, had a full chest, and were complete idiots. So pretty much the polar opposite of me. Even through I started dating Al with no feelings toward him at all, I ended up developing strong feelings for him at some point.

"Tris I am so sorry." She says with pity clear in her voice.

"It's not your fault." I whisper pulling away from her.

She sighs.

"I'm going to kick his ass." She says with a straight face.

I laugh and wipe away my tears.

"You do that" I say smiling.

Christina, Will, Lynn, Marlene, Uriah, Shauna, Zeke, and Four sit on my bedroom floor. We all sit there in an awkward silence.

"So, Al cheated on you." Lynn says.

Shauna elbows her in the ribs.

"Lynn be nicer." She hisses.

"It's fine someone had to say it sooner or later." I say

Lynn smiles smugly at her sister. Shauna rolls her eyes.

"So how did you find out? Did he tell you or did you see him?" Marlene asks me.

"I saw him. I told him I couldn't go to the mall today because I had a doctor's appointment. It ended up getting canceled so I went to the mall to see if I could find him because he said he was still going to go. I found him after a few minutes and he was sitting on a bench making out with Molly." I say wrinkling my nose.

"I need to slap a bitch! Honey he ain't worth your tears! He just a crusty ol pansycake! " Uriah exclaims snapping his fingers in a z formation.

We all stare at him.

"What a girl can't get her sass on?" He asks.

We all shake our heads and roll our eyes.

"Who's up for a game of truth or dare?"
