Espeon opened the door to the room, she looked down the long hallway, she tip toed out of the room and down the hallway, she walked into the other room where she saw Asgore sitting in a rocking chair by the fire and Asriel was sitting at the table with his head on the table, fast asleep.
"Oh Espeon, it's great to see you're up now" he smiled brightly, Espeon smiled back.
Espeon left the room and walked into the kitchen, the scent of butterscotch was strong in there.
"Hello dear, I just finished making a butterscotch pie" she smiled, Espeon looked to where the pie was.
She couldn't help but admire the pastry, it looked so flakey, it just looked so appetising.
"I'm just letting the pie cool down, 5 minutes should be long enough" Toriel told the girl, Espeon nodded and walked out of the kitchen.
She sat next to Asriel, who just woke up from his nap.
"Sorry I took up your room" Espeon apologised to the kid, however he shook his head.
"It's no big deal" he reassured her, however, she noticed his constant staring at her cat-like ears.
"You have cool ears" he praised as he leaned forward and touched them, Espeon blushed in response, nobody had ever touched her ears before, and they appeared to be quite sensitive.
"Uhh, thanks" Espeon responds as Asriel took his hands away from her ears.
"So what are you anyway? I don't remember seeing your kind before" the curious goat asked.
"Well uhh... I don't remember" Espeon scratched the back of her head awkwardly.
"An Evalion, I recall" Asgore interjected as he sat on third chair at the table.
"An Evalion?" Espeon asked him, who nodded in respond.
"Evalions are a cat-like monster that look like humans but with ears and tails, but since the war of humans and monsters, there aren't many of your kind left, I'm afraid" Asgore explained to Espeon, who was listening intently.
"The pie's ready!" Toriel called from the kitchen, she walked into the room with the pie, four plates and some silverware.
*later that night*
"You're welcome to stay here the night" Toriel smiled to Espeon.
"Thank you Miss Toriel, I really appreciate it" Espeon thanked the mother goat as she layed out a spare mattress beside Asriel's bed.
"It's quite alright, Asriel doesn't have any real friends so having you around would be good for him" She explained.
"But regardless, you're welcome to stay in our home for as long as you like" she smiled as she tossed a pillow onto the mattress.
At that moment, Asriel walked in and just got into his bed and pulled the covers over him without a word.
"I better go to bed now, goodnight Espeon, goodnight Asriel, sleep well" Toriel said as she leaned down and kissed Asriel's forehead, much to his embarrassment.
"Mom!" He whined, she giggled before she left the room, leaving the two of them in the room alone.
There was a few moments of silence, before Asriel's sat up from his bed and looked down at Espeon.
"I'm not tired, are you?" He asked, she shook her head, and with that, the two got out of bed and looked to find something more fun to do.
