A few days had passed now and Chara seemed to fit in quite well in the underground, all the monsters greeted him with a smile and the Dreemurs were more than happy to have the human boy stay with them in the ruins.
However... Espeon noticed there was something off about the fallen human...
Chara always seemed to have something on his mind always going silent or dozing off like something was bothering the human boy. And it made her worry, but Espeon dismissed her instincts, after all, Chara was adjusting to a whole new world, and probably needed some time to get used to things.
"Bye guys! I'll come by tomorrow!" Epseon smiled as she pulled Asriel and Chara into a hug and left the ruins back to hotland, it was already past dark so Asgore offered to walk her there to make sure she got home safe.
"Okay you two! Time for bed!" Toriel smiled as she sent the two brothers upstairs and to their room which they shared.

An hour had passed since the brothers had gone to bed. However, Chara remained wide awake, he was at it again, staring up at the ceiling, quiet as a mouse.
"Hey Chara, are you okay?" Asriel turned over and faced the human, It appears Asriel had not fallen asleep either.
"Why do you ask?" He responded, keeping his gaze up to the ceiling.
"Well, it's just that you seem to space out a lot, sometimes you go completely quiet" Asriel spoke out his concerns to Chara, making him turn to look over to his goat brother.
"What I'm trying to say is, if something or someone is bothering you, it's okay to tell me, that's what best friends are for" Asriel smiled reassuringly to Chara, not once again, Chara fell silent.
However, Chara told himself it was okay to ask Asriel a simple question.
"Have you ever thought, that maybe... Our world is just a game?" He asked his brother, but the goat boy seemed confused by the question.
"What do you mean by that? Just a game?" He asked Chara, but the human boy went silent.
Chara decided it was best to just leave it alone, he didn't want Asriel to worry over something like that, so he dismissed it.
"Nevermind, forget I said anything, goodnight Asriel" Chara replied and turned over, facing away from Asriel.
It was clear to Asriel that Chara didn't want to discuss further into it.
Astiel wanted nothing more to help Chara if he was scared or confused, but since there wasn't much he could do, he dismissed the matter went to sleep.
