After Espeon headed towards Asriel's place, she heard whispers from hotland and the resort. She couldn't really make out why they were about, so she ignored them.

However she started to become very nervous once he got to Snowdin. The chatter was much clearer and louder, and she didn't like the sound of what they were saying.

Did you hear?

Poor boy, he was so young...

I heard the king had ordered the royal guard to kill humans on sight...

Espeon had enough of the whispered and took off into run for the ruins, making some eyes turn towards her, watching her flee from the town.

The closer she got to the ruins, the worse the feeling got, beginning to overthink and overanalyse the whispers she had heard, putting the pieces together like a puzzle.

Oh god... Please let them be okay...

After some time, Espeon had finally reached the ruins, stopping. She placed her hands on her knees and took deep breaths.

After catching her breath, she approached the door to the ruins, the doorway that seemed to loom over her like an overprotective parent.

She raised her hand up to the door, knocking on the wooden object three times. But upon waiting, nothing happened.

That's odd she thought. Usually the Dreemurrs would hear her knocks from the inside.

Maybe they went into the city for supplies or something...

But when she decided to give the handle a jiggle, she was surprised when it opened.

They left the door open?

Espeon proceeded to enter the empty house, after passing the long, eerie hallways, she climbed the stairs to the house, only to notice that nobody was here, not even Chara.

Maybe I should check the Catacombs...

Espeon nodded to herself in agreement as she searched through the backyard and entered the catacombs, although Asriel and herself had travelled through the catacombs many times, It always gave her the creeps.

After searching for some time, she flinched when she felt herself kick something, looking to her feet, she jumped away at the realisation she had kicked a froggit.

"Oh gosh, I'm so so sorry!" Espeon apologised to the small frog monster.

"It's okay, who are you? *ribbit*" the froggit asked her. She introduced herself to the small, green creature.

"Nice to meet you Espeon, my name is froggit *ribbit*, so what are you doing here in the catacombs? *ribbit*" it croaked.

"I'm looking for the Dreemurrs, I can't seem to find them, you haven't seen them pass through here by any chance?" Espeon asked the four legged amphibian, who nodded in response.

"Hmm... Yeah, I saw Queen Toriel wander through here a little while ago, carrying a human child I believe, she's not far from the entrance *ribbit*" It croaked, Espeon quickly thanked the froggit and took off into a run towards the entrance to the catacombs.

Please don't let it be true... Please don't let it be true...

She chanted the phrase through her head as if it was a chant, before finally she stopped at the entrance.

There she was, Toriel, kneeling on the bed of flowers, where Asriel and herself had found Chara just weeks earlier.

Espeon approached toriel, she was about to ask her why she was out here, until she saw a stray tear roll down the weeping mother's cheek.

Espeon's horrors had been conformed, something horrible had happened to the Dreemurr family.

Oh god... Please no.....
