SPOILER ALERT: Wildcat's Claw

I'm just gonna go ahead and flat out say it. All the legendary beasts' amulets have to be destroyed, thus meaning the Fall of the Beasts.

-- -- --

I mean, Fall of the Beasts may have many different meanings, one of the obvious ones being, "All the Great Beasts are gonna die!"

But bro, they've already died. I mean they were reincarnated back to life but still, what's so special about them anymore? Even their talismans are gone. And a talisman is like...their other half or something.

They're now just normal animals with memories of what they used to be.

So maybe there's a chance that they'll go back to their former glorious huge-sized forms. But I doubt that the talismans would just reappear like that. I doubt that the Great Beasts would ever return to their glorious sizes. Why?

WILDCAT'S CLAW SPOILER ALERT

Let us all fast forward to the sixth book, "Wildcat's Claw" where Worthy and Conor have a little chit chat with Gransfen where the former wielder of the Wildcat's Claw explains a little more about the amulets.

1. It's almost similar to the Great Beasts' talismans
2. It was created with absolute trust between spirit animal and summoner, using some sort of ritual
3. The slightest doubt would just...kill them
4. If these amulets were destroyed when the spirit animal and summoner are still alive, they'll die or something

So the talismans and these amulets are similar. It's their other half. Their very life is tied to it.

Have you ever wondered why the Great Beasts are so...great? As in super-huge animals with powers and could supposedly talk to humans, great?

I mean, yeah it's because of surviving that comet that struck Erdas. Though immortal as they are, they can still die if wounded. So I guess they're not fully immortal.

SO WHAT IF...it's the talismans that were keeping them in these great forms? The Great Beasts protect their talismans fiercely (except for maybe Jhi cause she's just like that) because not only is it a part of them, it's the one thing that keeps them in their "great" forms!

The Four Fallen probably just fought with the Greencloaks just so they could get their talismans back (and maybe cause they're being heroic). We all know that not all the Great Beasts are so heroic...they're selfish too. I mean, all the Great Beasts (besides a certain three) decided to "heroically" sacrifice themselves in the end of the first series but during the first Devourer War, where the heck where they? Hiding, running away, and freezing themselves in a block of ice. That's where.

What I'm saying is, they're protective of their talismans cuz maybe...the talismans serve a much more important purpose.

Like maybe...there's a chance they might actually return to their "great" forms if ever they die!

But thanks to Kovo, he decided to put all the talismans into the Staff of Cycles in where the talismans might never be taken back so that when they die and reincarnate, none of the Great Beasts will ever be "great" again!

But hey, we don't know that.

So basically, the Great Beasts have already fallen in "Fall of the Beasts."

But...

What if they meant different beasts...like the Four legendary beasts that they decided to throw at us at the start of book five?

Yes they're already dead WAY before the first Devourer War but what if...they're not? Well, not fully dead.

MORE HUGE MAJOR WILDCAT'S CLAW SPOILERS! (I suggest you don't read if you haven't read it yet)

If you've read the book, we all know that Devin died as he heroically held off the Oathbound with the Wildcat's Claw.

Just kidding! He probably decided to fake his death and then just miraculously return in some epic way (MCU Loki much?). We don't know that yet.

But what if Devin died...okay that's a terrible theory. Let me rephrase that.

What if Devin was saved...by the Wildcat's Claw and as a result... the Wildcat's Claw is destroyed?!

Gransfen himself said that it was possible for these amulets to be destroyed! What if Olvan meant for them to find it and destroy it? What if that's the answer to solving and ending all the stupid wars? Destroying the talismans!

Let us rewind!

The second Devourer War happened because the Greencloaks and Conquerors are tryna get the talismans before the other does for very different reasons.

Shane's just doing it to gain revenge at the Greencloaks for Stetriol. Why?

Cause the Greencloaks ignored Stetriol's existence and hid it from the rest of Erdas. Why?

Cause King Feliandor decided to be greedy and conquer Erdas, starting the First Devourer War. How?

By getting...THE TALISMANS.

These two wars were all about the talismans in the first place! Now, coming to the second series, the Oathbounds and the Four Heroes are after what?

Amulets that are very much like the talismans. The same thing is happening all over again! History just doesn't want to stop repeating itself, huh?

Maybe Olvan sent them to find the amulets/gifts NOT to show and remind the current leaders of Erdas the gifts the past leaders of Erdas gave to the Greencloaks. There's a huge difference between THEN and NOW people!

Maybe Olvan sent them to find the amulets so they could...destroy them!

No talismans, no amulets, no war. Boom. Problem solved. Everyone are equals now. No more supernatural powers, making them more superior than others.

Okay, it's probably not as simple as that...

But maybe that's what "Fall of the Beasts" means. The Great Beasts are just normal animals now. The talismans are lost. The amulets are the only thing left that links to the legendary beasts. They've gotta fall...

...unless the SA authors decides to throw a third series at us where the Four Heroes decides to make amulets of their own...THEN THEY BECOME THE BAD GUYS CAUSE OF THEIR GREEDINESS!

But hey, it's just a theory! Welp, if I've missed anything or something, feel free to comment (it's not the most well, thought-out and researched theory but eh).
