"Grandma?" says Violetta shocked.

My mother. I began to panic, so I jumped up and ran upstairs, hoping I wouldn't been seen. I hid at the top of the stairs behind a large cardboard box that contained some baby stuff we'd been collecting recently and watched as my mother entered the house.

Violetta followed her bewildered, as my mother walked into the house. German had just whispered something to Olga and Ramallo and they nodded their heads.

"Where's Angie?" says my mother as she walks into the centre of the room.

"Why would you care?" says German rather angrily.

"I'm entitled to see my daughter. She didn't come for lunch with me last week, I suspect that was your fault." says my mother glaring at German.

"No, not my fault. We had a previous commitment that took longer then intended." says German rather calmly. He can't be mad when he thinks about the baby, so being reminded of the ultrasound seems to have relaxed him.

"Well I figured that if she wouldn't come and see me. I'd come and see her." says my mother annoyed.

"Who says she wants to see you?" says German once again angry, "You weren't happy when you found out she was pregnant."

"I wasn't. But I was very happy when I found out she terminated. It was the right thing to do."

Everyone looks rather bewildered, but German is not and plays along.

"Who told you that?" he says.

"Does it matter?" says my mother.

"Yes. The pregnancy was kept quiet, so was the termination, so there are only a few people who could have told you."

My mother grins, "Pablo did."

German doesn't seem thrown by this like I am. In fact, he seems like he already knew.

"Well, it seems I was correct." says German rising from his seat.

"Correct about what?"

"That you don't care about Angie's feelings." says German as he looks up at me slightly.

"What are you talking about?"

"Pablo and I organised the whole thing. I knew you'd go to him and he agreed to point you my way so we could find out if you even cared about Angie anymore."

My mother looked shocked, "And why would Pablo do that?"

"Because he cares about Angie, unlike you."

My mother just stood there shocked, so I stood up and looked down at her. My bump was covered by the boxes but you could see the rest of me.

"Why mum?" I say and she turns to face me.

"Angie, let's not be ridiculous. Your not pregnant, lord if you were I wouldn't be here, so lets ignore the previous situation and go back to the way things were."

I glared at her. "The doors that way, you need to leave."

"Why Angeles?" says my mother shocked.

"Because you said if I was pregnant you wouldn't be here. So you better leave."

My mothers face dropped.

"Your sisters husband! Your niece!" she cries.

"My husband! My daughter in law!" I cry back, "It's already complicated! Get over it!"

My mother looked at me, anger growing in her eyes, so I decided to make it worse and I stepped from behind the box, to show my bump.

Her eyes grew wide.

I was done with crying. I was furious.

I stormed down the stairs, anger flooding me.

"And guess what? The baby will have a sister and cousin and a dad who is also their uncle, but do you want to know something? I don't mind. None of us do. We can accept it. If you can't then get out of my house."

My mother stood in front of me, "I've never been so disappointed in you Angeles."

"I can't stand this anymore!" screams Violetta as she runs forward.

"What is wrong with you nan? Why can't you accept this? My dad and Angie needed happiness and found it with one another, so what if its complicated? I've always wanted a brother or sister, so what if they are also my cousin? Don't you want us all to be happy? Why can't you accept this?"

Violetta screamed at my mother and my mother looked shocked.

"Look what they've done! Brainwashed you! Angie is so obsessed, she's trying to be Maria! Trying to be your mother, German's wife, the owner of the house! It's preposterous!"

I was about to scream at her when German walks forward.

"Angie is not Maria. She never will be. I wouldn't want her to be. I love Angie. I don't need her to be anyone other then herself and lets get something straight. She is not replacing Maria. No one will ever replace her. None of us will ever replace her. Now leave our house before I call the police."

"No need. I'm leaving. I've lost another daughter."

"And a granddaughter." adds Violetta.

"But Violetta..." stutters my mother.

"No. I don't want to hear it. You've lost all of us. You don't need to ever come back here."

My mother looks gutted.

"It's you." she says staring at German, "You take away all of my girls. I hate you."

I was furious and ran up to the door and shoved my mother out the door.

"Get out of my house."
