~One Week Later~
Violetta is sitting next to me singing Habla si Puedes and tealeaf is going crazy. Apparently, tealeaf can now hear, so Violetta has been singing none stop as she is desperate for tealeaf to recognise her voice. It appears her wish has come true though, as every time she sings near me, tealeaf decides to kick me violently. This is lovely for Violetta, but I don't appreciate being kicked constantly.
Besides kicking every time Violetta sings, tealeaf has developed a pattern. I usually get kicked and punched around eight every morning, which is not good on the weekend, and I get nudged around once an hour. I quite like this pattern actually. It's kind of tealeaf's way of waking me up everyday on time and the nudges throughout the day also relax me, as I see them as reminders that tealeaf is okay.
When Violetta had finished the song, tealeaf stopped kicking and Violetta looked upset.
"I appreciate that you like my singing," says Violetta to my bump, "But can't you just kick because you're glad I'm around, or is it that you only appreciate my voice?"
I think Violetta was expecting a kick in reply, but tealeaf remained still.
"Sometimes tealeaf annoys me."
I had to laugh, "That's fine for you to say, you're not the one who has to deal with all the kicking!"
"Yeah but Angie...this is a serious issue! Tealeaf doesn't like me! Only my voice!" Violetta was actually really upset by this.
"Violetta, we go to the studio everyday to hear so much singing and lots of music. Tealeaf isn't bothered by any of it. There is only one voice that tealeaf kicks too and that's yours. If anything, tealeaf loves you the most. Yours is the only voice tealeaf cares about."
This cheered her up a bit so she was slightly happier and she began to sing some more. I don't mind it really. I love Violetta's voice and I'm reassured when tealeaf kicks, so I happily deal with the constant hitting from inside of me and just enjoy the company of the two of them.
Violetta sings a few more songs before her father comes out of his office with Maca beside him and Ramallo just behind. They all just had a business meeting about the proposed joining of companies.
When Ramallo gets past, he goes to the kitchen and grabs a glass of water and makes his way to take a seat opposite Violetta and I. Olga also joined us and sat as close to Ramallo as she possibly could which was extremely funny.
As Maca had to leave, Violetta and German hugged her goodbye quickly. She knows I cannot move too quickly and as she was in a hurry, she just blew a two kisses from the doorway.
"The second one is for tealeaf!" she smiles as she begins to close the door, "Bye All!"
As she had left, German and Violetta came and sat with me and I had them either side of me, with Olga and Ramallo sitting on the sofa opposite us.
Conversation quickly picked up, with us girls interested in the meeting and the business and the boys interested in what we had been doing whilst they were busy. Violetta told them all about singing to tealeaf and this struck another conversation.
"Have you decided on the name yet?" asks Ramallo edging away from Olga.
"No!" says Violetta, "Because these two decided not to find out the gender!"
She looks at me angrily. She is so desperate to know more about the baby.
"Sorry Vilu, I know you're mad, but I just think it would be a nice surprise!" I say smiling at her.
"Soooo... No names?" says Olga.
"No ideas yet." says German, saying what I was thinking.
"I have a few!" cries Violetta.
"Me too!" adds Olga.
"I'm sure I could come up with something." says Ramallo.
We were throwing around names next.
"If its a boy, I love the name Tomas." I confess.
Violetta looks at me like I just stabbed her, "Angie. No. Really?"
Oh Right. I'd forgot. Tomas Heredia. Shouldn't have mentioned that.
"Pablo?" says Olga, "My uncle was called that, love the name!"
"Ummm... What about my Pablo? Too confusing!" I point out.
"Sebastian?" says Ramallo.
"I like it." adds German.
"Ohh!" cries Violetta, "Or Alexander!"
"I like that one." I say.
A lot of boys names were thrown around a few came out that I adored. Viooletta however was anxious for us to move onto girls names.
"I love the name Valeria!" says Olga.
"I think Valeria and Violetta will be overdoing it! Too many V's!" I say laughing.
"I think Augustina is lovely." says Ramallo.
"THAT IS THE NAME OF TOMAS' COUSIN RAMALLO! I SWEAR TO GOD ALL OF YOU HATE ME!" cries Violetta frustrated.
"Well what do you think we should have?" I ask Violetta to calm her down.
"Well, I think the name Lillie is perfect! We could spell it however you like!" Violetta beams at this.
"That's lovely!" I say.
"I actually have a girls name too." adds German, who so far hasn't had a single idea.
"I love the name Anna. I think its very simple, but beautiful."
"I agree." I say leaning my head on his shoulder.
"So... what names are we left with to choose from?" says Violetta happily.
"I think we have Sebastio-" Germans sentence was cut off by the doorbell ringing.
"I got it!" called Violetta as she springs from her seat, "It's probably one of my friends anyway!"
We all watched Violetta as she skipped to the doorway and opened the door.
"Violetta!"
