Chapter 44

Elena's P.O.V

I knocked on the door and then opened the door to see Yenny sat comfortable on the chair with the machine attached to her reading a book.

"Hey Yenny."I said as I stood by the door my back leaning aganist it.

She looked up from her book. "Hello El! Where did you disappear to?"

I closed the door and looked at her. "Went to Costa Rica for two days."

"Why for two days? Costa Rica is a beauitful place."

"I know."I said with a sigh."The ticket was for two days."

She looked at me. "Something is on your mind querido."

"It's nothing."I said as I looked down at my fingers.

She patted her hand on the bed. "Sit here."

I walked over to the bed and sat down on the bed, my legs dangling down as I looked at her.

Suddenly tears streamed down my face, I let out a sniff as I wiped them away.

Yenny placed her hand on my knee and gave it a little squeeze. "Tell me what's wrong."

"Last night, I erm got a phone call from my lawyer regarding what happened."I explained as I looked at down."Something has come up and she needs to see me."I looked up at her and more tears streamed down my face."I can't go. I don't want to go."

Yenny let out a sigh and wiped my tears away. "You are going to go,you are going to show this cabrano that what he did hasn't dictated you to live your life."

"I can't go, I really don't want to go."

"What if it isn't what you are thinking?"Yenny asked as she looked at me. "What if it's something totally different from what you think it is?"

I looked at her and nodded. "You are right."

"And I'm not letting you go alone either."Yenny said sternly as she looked at me. "I'll come with you."

"Are you sure?"I asked with concern."You will be really tired after you finish this round of treatment."

"I won't be, I'm going to be there with you."

"Well it's around lunchtime."I said with a sigh and looked at her. "You don't need to come."

"I'm coming."

She somehow reminded me of Chris and Ari a lot, the way her aura was the way she kept positive about things even though everything wasn't looking too good for her.

I looked at her, my eyes brimmed with tears. "You are honestly like the mum I never had."

"I do count you as one of my daughters too."She said with a smile."Now come here and give me a hug."

I hugged her then I pulled away from the hug with tears flowing down my face. I quickly wiped them away. "I'm going to go and get changed, I'll be back for you in a few."

She nodded. "I'll see you in a few then."

I walked out of the room with a smile on my face then I walked into the locker room.

Suddenly, I heard the alarm of more help was needed I quickly turned around and ran out of the locker room.

I ran to the room where the alarm was coming from and ran into the room to see Cal, Dr Meledez and Bryce putting her back onto the bed.
