"I'm sorry, sir, but you're going to have to come with us," Chen froze. Two policemen were gathered at his doorstep.

"I'm sorry, officer," Chen began. "There must be some kind of misunderstanding,"

"You must come with us, sir. That's an order," the other police officer said, reaching for his gun.

"I don't know what I did wrong..." Chen admitted, his heart beating as he eyes the weapons on the polices' utility belts. Whatever he had done, Chen didn't remember. "I—"

"You know what you did, Mr. Kim," both policemen suddenly had their fingers wrapped around a gun, as if Chen were about to fight back at any given moment, though Chen knew he wouldn't do that, and he wouldn't do anything that involves breaking the law. This couldn't be happening, he was either framed or drunk when he did something wrong, but Chen never got himself drunk.

"Please, officers," Chen took a small step forward and the policemen quickly stepped back as if he were a lethal weapon. He could see now that more police cars and black vehicles were pulled into his driveway.

"Put your hands up!" One policeman yelled, and Chen, terrified, obeyed.

"Now we're going to ask you one last time; get into the vehicle and keep your hands where we can see them."

Chen nodded and allowed the officer to cuff his hands tightly with handcuffs. He then followed the officer to a black van, giving up on proving himself innocent. The other officer followed closely behind, his fist against Chen's back and pushing him forward.

"Get in," another officer awaited at the van and shoved Chen into the empty back space. He slammed the doors and Chen could hear the sound of metal screeching as the officer locked up the van.

Chen felt his hands begin to tremble against the cold metal handcuffs. What did I do?

The van started up, and Chen could feel the engine humming underneath him. He inched up to one of the benches against the wall.

"Hey!" A stern voice startled him. A guard was peering through a glass window from the front seat. "Don't move, or you're gonna get it,"

Get what? Chen thought to himself, not wanting to know the answer.

He didn't have to guess what it was, the sound of a taser buzzing was enough to keep him quiet.

---

"Let me go!" A man screamed ferociously. Chen blinked his eyes open, his heart skipped a beat when he found he was still in the back of the van, which had come to a stop. Footsteps approached the vehicle and the screaming became louder.

"Get away!" The van doors busted open and two officers threw in the screaming man, who landed with a thud. The officers quickly slammed the doors shut and locked them up once again, blocking off Chen's only given chance of escaping.

Through the faint light, Chen could see the man was about his age, in his mid-twenties. He held his face in his hands, lying in a crippled heap in front of Chen, who wondered why he was handcuffed but the man in front of him was not.

"You alright?" Chen whispered after awhile, making sure the guard keeping watch couldn't hear.

The man's heavy breathing finally began to slow down. He gave a small nod before sitting up.
