Chen's body felt limp and cold. The type of cold you felt when you were about to be struck with a fever. The smell of chlorine filled is nose and the last thing he could remember was sitting in a van across from a young man named Kai.
He rubs his eyes only to find his hands were damp. Looking around, he finds himself in a tiled room. A cold towel sat next to him on the wet floor. He wrapped it around his body and sat there alone, shivering.
What is this? Chen asked himself. Where was Kai?
Chen looked around the tiled room. A sudden movement drew Chen's attention to a small vent on the ceiling. There dangled a black scorpion, moving gingerly as if being controlled by someone holding it by strings. Chen inches away from the vent, taking in the room which looked like a public pool changing room, but with no door to exit out of. How did I get here in the first place? The vent seemed to be his only way out, but it didn't look very promising.
If Kai escaped once before, maybe he could help Chen escape also.
Somehow.

"We have nowhere to go," for the first time, a twinge of fear could be heard in Kyungsoo's voice.
"What do you mean?" Chanyeol couldn't believe he drove into the neighboring city with no food or money, a sleeping friend, and an unfamiliar short man.
"They will start searching here, too." Kyungsoo closed his eyes, concentrating on something.
"How do you know that?" Chanyeol leaned against Sehun's car, which was parked on a low mountain over looking the city. He had a strong urge to run over to Kyungsoo and push him off.
Kyungsoo turned around to face Chanyeol, standing only a few feet away. "Listen,"
"What?" Chanyeol says, crossing his arms.
"I never apologized for beating you up on the rooftop the other day."
Chanyeol scoffs. "Go on,"
"I'm sorry," Kyungsoo shrugged. "All this is hard for you, it's weird, I understand. But it must be even more weird for your friend. I'm sorry I brought you guys into this. If I just kept silent... none of this would've happened."
Chanyeol blinked. He didn't know how to respond. Something about Kyungsoo taking his thoughts and spitting them out through an apology was, in a way, humbling.
"Yeah," Chanyeol said blankly. "Be happy I didn't pass out yet,"
Kyungsoo rolled his eyes. "I figured I had to help you guys. Your friend could've been taken away if I hadn't met you guys yesterday."
"Oh, really?" Chanyeol raised an eyebrow. "Or is that all part of your speech?"
"I'm serious," Kyungsoo glared. "Sooner or later he would've gotten his abilities and they would've tracked him down."
"So what are you gonna do now?" Chanyeol asked, eyeing the lint collecting on his jacket. He hated how he was wearing the same outfit as he was yesterday.
Kyungsoo peered inside the car. Sehun was curled up in the backseat, his long legs dangling over the sides of the seat. "I don't know," he admitted.
