Shade stared at the man sized coffin, colored in green, dark blue, and some gold leaf. A giant bat was stretched across the coffin lid in width. "That's a coffin right. I mean, where there coffins in ancient Egypt?" She asked him. Shade couldn't believe his eyes either. "I'm actually not sure. Usually in this tombs, they have sarcophagus for ancient pharaohs and their servants that are buried alive with them. This is a new discovery really." Michelle sighed. She new that look. You know, Shade might not look it, but in the past he used to be an historical scientist. Yeah, I don't even know what that means. He eyes began to sparkle in triumph. "I think this is why Saraha never lets you go anywhere with history." She mumbled under her breath.
"So, do you want to check it out, or should I?" She asked Shade, because it was either look in the coffin, or either get killed by spiders, plus falling do their deaths. Well not like Chris or Shade will die. She pouted, "I'll do it. You just wake up the idiot so we can find a way out of here." It's a good thing there were small stepping stones; only enough space for one foot at a time. Mich took a breath, and then stepped on the first stone. These things are so small, she had to hold her arms out to balance. After the fourth stone, they were getting smaller. Probably from the years of decay. After walking the ten stones, that small as hell, she stood on the giant platform holding the coffin. "If there's a mummy in here, and it jumps out at me, I'm going to kill it. Just to warn you." She told Shade. Shade frowned, "If that's what you do." He was crying on the inside. 'No. don't kill it. Preserve it.' Mich stepped forward and approached the coffin. The jewel in the middle of her necklace began to glow, just as the gem in the middle of the other coffin began to correspond with hers. A stream of light came from her gem, and headed straight for the other coffin's gem.
The power between the two gems, was a sight to behold, as they fought to conquer the other. Suddenly, a second light emerged from her necklace, and joined the first, as it saw the red light was losing to the green light. Suddenly a flash happened, and the light became two bright for them to see. The coffin had shrunk down in size, and connected to her necklace chain. While the coffin moved, dust came up from the floor, and went through the air. Mich sneezed. "I hate getting stuff in my nose." She sneezed again. The walls started to creak and groan, as the chamber began to collapse. "We have to get out of here." Shade yelled. "Hurry, Mich." They ran down the halls, toward the exit. Shade had remembered the way back, which was a good thing. Chris was still knocked out; which they found out he'd been bitten by one of the spiders. Not because Michelle had rammed her elbow in his stomach. They avoided a falling pillar, while to not get crushed. "Wait, Shade!" Michelle yelled over the noise. "If a chamber in a pyramid collapses, wouldn't the pyramid itself fall apart?!" Shade was carrying Chris, fireman style, while they ran towards the exit.
"I'm not even sure this is a part of the actual pyramid. It's probably just a pocket of space created by magic." They finally saw the door of the pyramid they came through. On my mark, we'll jump through the door. Ready?" Michelle gulped, wondering if he was fucking crazy, because the door was still closed from earlier. "One...two...three...jump now!" They both jumped toward the door, just as it opened automatically, and let them through. They rolled in the desert sand, and down a hill, as the space disappeared. Michelle spit out sand, while Shade groaned. "I'm so glad I wore shorts.." She spit out another mouthful. They both went quiet as Chris groaned, and sat up with a sleepy expression. "Good morning, my love. Has Shade come to come to get me yet?" They both stared at him in silence; wondering what the hell he was remembering. Shade felt a vein tick in his forehead. "What the hell are talking about, you damn moron?" He whacked the back of his head. Chris felt his temper rise, and tackled Shade. "What the hell was that for you dark, gloomy, bastard?" They started to fight in the sand, while Michelle sighed. "Morons." She turned toward the empty desert, and went to go find someone to help them get home.
