I stared intently at the clock that sat before me on the wall. It was like I was having a staring contest with it. I couldn't wait to get out of this shit hole of a classroom to go to lunch and chill with my best friend Lisa. I still had 20 minutes to go in social studies class, god I hated this subject. That's it I couldn't take it anymore.
"Excuse me Ms Maj may I umm... use the bathroom."
"Sure Ashley just hurry back."
And with that I left. All I did was go on my phone and play games to pass time up. When I felt that I was in there long enough I headed back to class. It really wasn't that long, only five minutes had passed. Shit. Finally, class was over and the bell finally rang. I met up with Lisa by the cafeteria. Since we were in 11th grade we had privilege to go out and eat at a nearby store.
"Alright, hoe where you wanna go?"
"Shut up and Subway" I lightly chuckled
"Hi welcome to Subway what would you like to order.
"Umm... can I get a spicy buffalo chicken cut up on flatbread with lettuce tomatoes motzerrella cheese black olives and 3 cookies 2 chocolate chip and one macadamia nut."
"Okay th-"
"Damn fatass u bought to buy the whole store or something!" Lisa yelled before the man could even finished
"One back up out my ear and 2 it wasn't even that much." I lightly chuckled replying back to her
She sucked her teeth. I turned my attention back to the man.
"I'm sorry about her, she just hasn't had any dick in awhile." I whispered to the man. He gave me an awkward chuckle.
"Okay that will be $7.92"
I payed and waited for my order while Lisa ordered hers. She came back to the table and sat with me.
"What you wanna do afterschool? Sine you know we don't have dance practice today." Lisa asked me
"I don't really care"
"Wanna hangout at my place."
"Sure"
"Good cause I just got nba 2k18 and imma bust yo ass cuz u was lowkey talking shit just because you got it before me."
I tuned her out after she said 2k because a girl who was fine as hell walked in. As she was waiting in line I took the time to really look at her beauty. She was around my height, 5'5, had long black hair nice caramel complexion slim thick. I was staring so much I didn't even notice Lisa shaking me trying to tell me they called our order up.
"Ayo sis u good. Our order is up"
"Huh? What? Oh... sorry."
We got our order and sat back down.
"Don't think I didn't notice you staring at that thick light skin girl."
"I couldn't help it she was so fine."
"Sound like a fucking creep"
I ignored her and looked down at her tray.
"And I thought I was the fatass."
She had a whole hero sandwich, six chocolate chip cookies and a bag of Doritos. She just flipped me off.
The rest of lunch we just ate and talked. As we were talking I began to wonder.
"Something on your mind ash."
"Umm... yeah I just thinking about the future."
"Whatchu mean?" She asked
"Well you know how I still have not came out to my parents that I'm gay so I'm just wondering should I tell them or just let them find out."
"Well who knows how long that will be. I think you should just tell them so you won't have to hide anymore"
"It's harder than it sounds."
"Yeah I know. But you know I gotchu. If you ever need a place to stay, your more than welcomed."
"Thanks"
I knew I couldn't do that though considering Lisa was living at home with 4 other siblings. It was kinda already a struggle for her and her mom. I didn't know what I'll do, we didn't have much family up here in New York.
"Well you ready to go?" I asked
"Yeah, c'mon"
We left and headed back to school.
