Who Are You?

Alexia's POV

We arrive at the hospital, and we walk in. We go to the front desk and ask for Daniel.

"Room 432" She says "up the elevator and to the left."

"Thank you." My mom says.

We start walking and I start to get really nervous. Devin notices and holds my hand.
"It's gonna be ok." He says showing a warm smile.
I nod in response.

We arrive at the door and I just stare at it.
My mom opens it and walks in, Devin behind her, and since our hands are linked I'm forced to go too.

As soon as I get into the room I see him. I slowly walk over to him letting Devins hands go.
I stand by him and just look.
He looks scared, believe it or not.
I pick up one of his hands in mine.
"His hands are freezing!" I say to no one in particular.
They all surround him.
My mom by me, Dev and Kev on the other side of him.
We all just stare at him.
I feel tears rolling down my cheeks, and my mom pulls me into a hug.

"We'll Be Back, I'll let you guys talk" my mom said pushing Devin and Kevin out of the room with her.

I just shook my head and sat down next to Daniel.

"Hola mi amore, it's me Lex. I'm here at the hospital, because you overdosed.
Daniel, I hope you don't think that I don't care. I would never hurt you so bad that you would try and commit suicide. That hurts me so bad. It makes me sick to my stomach, because I know you know that I love you. I was so scared Daniel." I said as I started to cry.

"I was scared that I was gonna lose you. And when I did, I felt numb. I couldn't even eat. You wanna know why? Because I lost the love of my life. That's why.
I cried in my sleep, I cried when I was awake. I cried because I care. And I know that you thought that us not being together was for the best, and I respect that now. I didn't at first, that's why I went off on you. But now I don't care about a relationship, I care about you." I placed my hand on his cheek.

"You, Daniel Antonio Veda. You have my whole heart, your my rock. I know whenever I need you, I can count on you. I just want you here. I want you to wake up. I know you can. I remember what you said to me, and I will say it back to you.
Daniel Veda, I love you and I need you." I told him.
I kissed his forehead and sat back down.

ABOUT 7 MINUTES LATER

I have my headphones in listening to Ariana Grande, and I could have sworn I saw Daniel move. But I ignored it. Then I saw it again. I looked up and paused my music.

"If you're gonna wake up, then just do it, don't tease me baby" I sang laughing.
Then I saw Daniels fingers move. I jumped up and went to him.
"Daniel?" I asked rubbing his hands.

His eyes started to flicker, and then his eyes opened. Then his chocolate eyes met mine.

"Daniel!" I say hugging him.

Once I pull away, I see an expression on his face of confusion and fear.

"Who are you?"
