I can't believe he's gone. What's life without him. Even though I was mad, I could never stay mad at my best friend. He is my everything, or was my everything. I just stare at the wall, wishing I was with Daniel. I don't wanna live without him. I don't want to be alive.
Devins POV
I wake up to see Alexia staring at the wall. She looks upset.
"Morning" I say yawning "Morning" She says weakly "You ok?" I ask turning on my side to face her. She hesitates, but nods. "You sure?" I ask not convinced. "Yeah" She says laying back down. She lays her head down on my arm and closes her eyes. I see a tear roll down her face, but she doesn't notice it. I wonder what happened? I always miss things.
Since I can't move, I take my phone off the charger and go to IG. I scroll through my timeline and like a couple pics. I scroll through and stop on one that had a pic of Daniel and the caption. "Is he really gone?" Did I miss something?
It's been like 10 minutes, and I fell asleep again. I'm awaken by Alexia talking in her sleep. "No.." she says "come back" she says tears falling down her face. I didn't know you could cry in your sleep. I was about to wake her when she said something else.
"He's gone" she says Is she talking about Daniel? Then she starts crying.
"Hey hey its ok" I say caressing her cheek. She slowly opens her eyes and looks up to me.

I kiss her forehead and she hugs me. (Like above^^^^)
"What's wrong?" I ask her
"I can't say it without crying " she whispers
"Do you wanna talk about it?" I ask She shakes her head no.
"Ok, well I'm going downstairs, you want something?" I ask her getting up
"I'm not hungry" she says laying in the bed pulling the covers over her.
I'm worried now. She never acts like this.
I walk downstairs and is greeted by Ms. Minterio and Kevin.
"Morning mom #2" I say to Ms. Minterio.
"Goodmorning son #1.... since I only have daughters." She says laughing lightly.
"Wussup?" I ask kev.
"Did Alexia tell you?" He asks me.
"No, she said she can't say it without crying." I told him sitting down at the table across from him.
Ms. Minterio sits down beside me and Kevin.
"It's about Daniel" she said.
"Yeah, I kind of figured that" I say
"He passed" she said
When I heard those words I immediately felt bad.
"What? How?!" I ask confused.
"He overdosed on pills" Kevin said.
"And Alexia was there through the whole thing, that's why she isn't doin well. Because she fought to try and keep him alive, she fought to try and stop him from swallowing those pills. She fought to keep him awake while trying to call the ambulance. She was there when the paramedics pronounced him dead" Ms. Minterio said.
"The doctors said that they would call u-" Ms. Minterio started but was interrupted by the phone ringing
Kev jumped up and ran to the phone.
"Hello?" He asked
"Yes it is. Ok. Ok. Really? We'll be there" he said smiling. He hung up the phone and walked back to us. "They said that he is in critical condition." He said
"So he's not..." Ms. Minterio started.
"He's not dead!" He said cheesin We all smiled at each other.
"We are all telling Alexia. Come on." Ms Minterio says. Me and Kevin follow behind.
We get to the door and Alexia's mom opens it, we walk in and find Alexia in the bed.
"Devin get your heavy behind off me!" Alexia tells me.
"But we have news!" I say still on her
"We?" She asks opening her eyes. I point to them and she smiles weakly.
"What?" She says laying back down.
"It's about Daniel" Kevin says
She just stares at him. Both Ms Minterio and Kevin sit on the bed.
"I can't breath dummy" Alexia tells me
"Oh sorry" I say getting up sitting beside her.
"Daniel is still alive, he is just in critical condition. But he isn't dead" Alexia's mom says.
She sits up immediately. Her face shows both disbelief and hope.
"Really?!" She asks smiling Her beautiful smile.
"Really." I say. Since I'm the closest, she jumps on me with a huge hug.
"Who's the heavy one now?" I ask
"Shut up! Come on!" She says jumping off the bed jumping on both Kevin and her mom at the same time. They both hug her back.
"You have to take a shower." Ms Minterio says "both of you" She says pointing at me.
"Ok me first!" Alexia says
"NO! You take hour long showers!" I say back
"So I'm a girl, and girls first right?" She asks
"No." I say
"Well I'm going" she says running. I run after her and catch her before she could make it in the bathroom. I pick her up and she's hanging over my back, I walk back into the room. Her hitting my back. But I don't care, it doesn't even hurt. I drop her on the bed. Both Kevin and momma #2 yell "FINISH HER!"
I then start fake punching her belly. Then pin her down while they count to 3 .
"I win!" I say
"Buttface" She mumbles
"African booty scratcher!" I yell to the room as I close the door to the bathroom.
I hear laughs from all 3 of them. Then I take my shower.
Alexia's POV
Words can't describe how happy I am right now. I just want to see him.
