Alexia's POV
I called Devin. Man, I can honestly say that I'm heartbroken.
(Phone Call)
Devin: Hello?
Me: um *sniffle* can you come *sniffle* pick me up from Moonlight Park please *sniffle*
Dev: yeah I'm on my way, are you ok?
Me: No. *starts tearing up again.*
Dev: what's wrong?
Me: I don't want to talk about it right now, but I promise I'll tell you later. *sniffle*
Dev: okay, I'm 10 minutes away ok?
Me: ok.
Dev: find a bench, and sit tight, I'll call you when I'm here.
Me: ok I will
Dev: and if y-
Me: see anyone who looks suspicious be careful. I know.
Dev: *laughs* ok I'll be there soon.
Me: ok.
I'm glad I have a friend like Devin. He really does act like an older brother.
10 minutes later
Gosh, what am I going to do? I don't hate Daniel. I was just "caught in the moment" when I said that. What he did was so wrong. Couldn't you have backed out in the car. Not right in the moment when I was hoping you would ask me out. I mean, it would have still hurt, but way less. But it's gonna be ok. If we can be as close as we were before, that would be great. And if not, I'll be fine.
No I wouldn't.
I need Daniel.
He's my best friend.
And now I'm crying again.
I then felt arms around me, and just by the smell, I could tell it was Devin.
He always smells like peppermint.
"It's gonna be ok" He told me as I cried in his arms.
"I'm sorry, I tried to stop crying, I just keep thinking about what happened, and they just come back like a flood" I say wiping my face. "And now your shirt is all wet" I say chuckling looking at Devins shirt.
"It's fine" He said laughing too.
"You sure?" I ask "because now your shirt has mascara on it, and I don't think it will come out." I tell him trying to wipe off the mascara. It is only spreading.
"Ok" Devin says moving my hand "I think my shirt has had enough" he says which makes me laugh
"I always make the ladies laugh" Devin boasted.
"But yet you don't have a girlfriend" I say
"You wanna fight? Cuz we can fight" Devin said playfully getting up holding up his fists.
"Yeah let's fight! Your gonna get you but kicked by a girl Gordon!" I say with my fists up in the blocking position.
"We'll see about that" Devin laughs as he runs towards me.
"Oh no" I say to myself as I prepare to run
Devins POV
"We'll see about that" I say laughing and running towards her.
Her eyes grown huge, and I see her lips move but I can't make out what she said. She then breaks out into a run. With me closely behind
She runs towards my truck, and opens the front door, jumps in and locks the door right when I got there.
"AHH" she squealed, when I got to the truck.
"Yo let me in" I say.
"No! Not by the zero hairs on my chiny chin chin" She says laughing.
"You act like a five year old." I say "but I'm for real it's cold bruh" I say
She unlocks the doors
"Well it is New York soo..." she says like it's obvious.
"It is New York soo..." I say mocking her
"Who's the five year old now?" She teases
"Blah blah blah, come on let's get you home" I say starting the engine.
"Home" She says dreamily "that's where I wanna go" She Adds
"Your not in a movie, don't do that" I say
"El oh el Devie cakes" she said
"Devy What?" I ask confused
"Nothing, nothing." She says making herself comfortable.
In like a minute she's sleep. Thank goodness. I wonder what happened tho.
