Kevin's POV

I am laying in my bed, but I couldn't go to sleep. I just kept twisting and turning.
I feel like somethings wrong.

"No!" I hear someone yell. That sounded like Alexia, but I could be wrong.

I get out the bed and put on my timbs and I put on a jacket and rush out the house.

I'm driving to Daniels house and I see ambulances. Worry comes over me.
I jump out of my car and run to the house, luckily police weren't right there.
I get in and see Alexia turning around to face something. I look to where she is looking, and I see a whole bunch of paramedics surrounding Daniel. He looks passed out.
Or that's what I thought he was.
I see a doctor looking paramedic look to everyone, and she shakes her head no. Then I see Alexia burst out sobbing.

Wait is he..... no he can't be.
I walk to Alexia and hug her.

"There must be something else you can do." I say

"We've tried almost everything" the same doctor who told Alexia "Sorry" says

"Almost" I ask "I haven't seen you guys do the "clear" thing

"Sir that is in the ambulance" she says

"Well take him there!" I say "look I don't like him like that, but she loves him, and I want her to be happy, and he makes her happy. So if he dies, she does on the inside. So don't say he's gone unless you have tried everything. Please, do it for her." I say looking at Alexia who has her face buried I my chest crying.

"YOU HEARD HIM MOVE" she says and they take him to the ambulance on the stretch thing. I slowly follow them. With Alexia under my arm.

"We will contact you when we find out more." The lady says to me

"Ok thank you" I say she nods and we walk out the house.

Alexia notices that we are moving and she looks up, she looks at the ambulance, she looks behind us and she sees that Daniel is gone. She looks at me, and I just hug her while walking to Alexia's house.

We walk in, Alexia holding on to me for dear life.

"Are you ok?" Alexia's mom asked turning on lights rushing to us.
Alexia just slowly looks up at her mom.

"What's wrong with her?" She asked me.

"It's Daniel" I tell her.

"What happened?" She asked

"Gone." Alexia said staring at the floor.

"What honey?" Her mom asks her.

"Daniels gone" She says

"Where did he go?" She asks

"She means th-" I get cut off.

"No! He's Gone Gone, like Dead gone!" She says a little louder.

"What?" Her mom asks in disbelief.

She looks at me, and I give her apologetic eyes.

"How?" She asks

" I don't know" I say

"Overdose." Alexia says "he overdosed on pills. I tried to save him, I did, but I couldn't" She says crying.
I hug her once more.

"Jesus Christ!" Her mom said hugging Alexia too.

"The doctor said that once they get into the ambulance that they will do the "clear" thing on him. And that she will call us to inform us if he made it or not." I tell them.

"Ok well we still have a chance" Ms Minterio says. I nod.

Alexia just gets up and walks up the stairs.

"What if he remains...gone...She'll be broken." I tell Ms. Minterio.

"I know." She says "we all just have to be there for her."

"I know" I respond.

"I'll call Daniels mom and tell her what happened. God, how can you handle loosing a child" Ms. Minterio asks herself as she walked to the kitchen.

"I'm going to leave. I'll be back tomorrow." I say to her.

"Ok, thank you Kevin" she says hugging me.

"It's no problem." I say and walk out the door.
I head to my car and drive home.

Alexia's POV

I walk to my room and I get in bed. I forgot that Devin was here. I lay beside him.  He starts moving like he's looking for something. His hands move and somehow wrap around me. He pulls me closer, and I lay me head on his chest again, and go to sleep in the saddest place I have ever been.
