Blinking in disbelief, Sesshomaru hadn't once been back to Edo since the battle we had parted ways. Now stalking out of the tree line towards me he came. I felt as though I was dreaming I felt warm, content.

He wasn't wearing any armor; his haori was slightly parted allowing a glimpse at his milky skin. Glancing at his haori, cherry blossoms like my necklace in the vision. There was a shock that seemed to resonate through my skull it felt like a tugging as though I was trying to remember something that was at the tip of my tongue.

I drank him in his silver hair swayed behind him as he walked. His hair would make any girl envious. Somehow I felt he would look better with shorter hair, long hair made him seem sad.

Finally stopping watching him move I looked up into his molten amber eyes they were swirled with red. He was fighting for control, but why?

Gathering my wits I formed a coherent thought and spoke, "Good evening Lord Sesshomaru, out for a stroll?" I asked even though we were in the north, not the west and his palace was nowhere near. I had never seen his palace but Inuyasha had told me where it was. Smiling trying to relieve the awkward tension, I stepped forward towards him.

Seriously, Kagome did you take a step forward a murderous demon that was fighting control.Fighting down the urge to take another step toward him; I was drawn to him. I want to close the distance between us it seemed as though a chasm, not the mere feet it was.

He stopped a few steps ahead of me, I looked up at him expectantly he was nearly a head and a half taller than me.

"Kagome" He whispered, I had to strain to listen. It was more of a statement than an acknowledgment but it was weird in itself since he had never said my name in front of me it was always miko or girl followed by his signature glare of indifference. I was slightly surprised I was sure he knew my name but to hear him actually using it.

He covered the few steps between us, heat radiated off his body. Inhaling his intoxicating scent it was hypnotic it was something I always loved from our limited interactions. It was a peculiar smell it was the smell of a forest when you walk in that cool scent of trees, moss and flowers but there was also a very masculine vetiver. The combination of the two scents excited and relaxed me all at once.

He raised his hand to my face; looking into his eyes gauging his next action. He gently stroked my cheek; I closed my eyes and leaned into his touch. Everything seemed to disappear the forest, the spring it was just he and I. Leaning into his touch; I took a deep breath his scent seemed to engulf me. He stopped stroking my cheek and was cupping my face. Something about this felt so natural so right.

Opening my eyes he was just looking at me; he seemed to be just watching me.There was a word for the expression in his eyes but for him to even look at anyone let alone a miko with that, hell would freeze over.

Gathering the remaining mush that was my wit I pushed him back and stepped back.

"Sesshomaru are you alright, is something wrong?" I asked with growing concern this was not the Sesshomaru I had come to know in the last couple years.

He stepped forward and wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer. I sighed in content; he rested his chin on the top of my head.

"Lifetimes I waited, for your return." He whispered. I had no clue what he was talking about this fool knew exactly where I was and he could have come.

Leaning against his chest, the struggle was pointless. Even though I was in shape I was nowhere strong enough to fight Sesshomaru with sheer strength. He could snap me in half without breaking a sweat.
