Sesshomaru grabbed my body as it fell, he swept the hair that covered my sweat drenched skin.
My breath came out ragged, he picked me up. "AKIRA!!" He roared, moments later I was on his bed.
I closed my eyes desperately trying to take a breath, becoming harder and harder each moment. I was attempting to remain calm and breath slowly but I wasn't even able to breathe.
A cool hand stroked my face I opened my eyes to look at golden eyes. Smiling I looked at his mouth moving he was speaking. I couldn't hear a thing. It felt as though my head was underwater. I stared at him, was this the man I would spend the rest of my life with. Could I spend the rest of my life with him?
Looking up at his moving lips, I just stared. Was I dying, I had read once that hearing was the first to go as you died.
Blurred figures moved around the room, losing sensation I could see Sesshomaru running his hands over my face but I could not feel it. There was a lot of movement around the room. I felt as though I was in the centre of a tornado
Closing my eyes as a weight grew on my chest no longer allowing me to breathe. Thrashing I desperately clawed to my throat. Tears came to my eyes, looking around agonizingly at the faces in the room. Concern, fear, worry, anger showing in various degrees on all their faces.
Sesshomaru quickly sat behind me and held onto my hands. A wrinkled old man came towards me. He played with fire in his claws, frightened I looked at Sesshomaru. His grasp was taut. Struggling as the orange eyed man moved toward me.
My kimono was cut to show the wounds but keeping my modesty somewhat. The wounds looked ugly and dripped thick dark blood.
The man sat down on the bed and looked behind me. He placed his fiery hands on the wounds. He looked intently at his hands.
Pain. Agony.Fire.
Screeching, I trashed and kicked as the fire engulfed my entire body, I was being burned alive.
Feeling returned to my body, I would rather feel nothing at all than this pain.
"Stop! Stop! Please Stop!" Screaming as the man took no heed to my pleas. Looking down I was not on fire but his hands were. He intensified the fire, my pleas falling onto empty ears.
Time passed it could have been minutes or hours the agony continued with no end in sight.
Tears ran down my face, I thrashed harder and harder against Sesshomaru he did not waver in his hold.
"Please make him stop, Sesshomaru." Whispering as I reigned to the darkness as the pain was too much to withstand.
Blinking slowly my eyes felt as though they were lead. Taking a breath felt laboured, closing my eyes I swallowed. My throat feeling dry and parched.
A cup was brought to my mouth lazily taking in the cool water, support behind my back slowly brought me up.
Sitting up and slowly blinked as the room came into focus. I was in Sesshomaru's room still. Looking at my aid it was Sesshomaru.
Looking at him, he was disheveled. Blood stained his wrinkled clothes, presumably mine. His pristine hair was thrown in a messy ponytail, hair sticking out all over.
"You were poisoned." He stated stoically as he stood up and walked away from the bed. A look crossed his face that unsettled me.
Poisoned how was I poisoned. I could account for every single thing I had eaten and done in the past week and nothing set off alarms.
