Lenice's POV

"She knows it's us. Did you see the way she looked at me?" I begin to pace the floor.
"Relax, she doesn't know for certain." Hannah says, but not even she could hide the worry in her voice.
I stop my pacing and face her. "What are we going to do?"
"We have to find a way to place the blame on her."
            "What?" I ask bewildered.
"We know she has something to do with Alaina's disappearance and Mike's death. If we can prove that to the others, we can put Eliza's death on her as well."
I think about her idea for a moment. It could work, but how are we going to prove it? There is a strong chance that this could end badly for us. "Your idea is a risky one. She could throw this all back at our faces then we would be the cause for three occurrences."
"Yes, I realize that, but what other choice do we have?" Hannah says.
"Maybe they'll believe me if I say it was self defense."
"I doubt it." Hannah states. "Sam is too nice, they won't believe us."
"Then what are we gonna do?"
"The only thing we can do, find Alaina."
"And how exactly are we gonna do that?"
"At night, we can leave the house and search around."
"What about Sam, she looked like she suspects us?"
"We'll make sure she's asleep before we leave. We'll also need a witness."
A mischievous grin spreads across my face, "how about Nathan?"
Hannah smiles and rolls her eyes at me, "Fine."
Hannah turns from me and leaves the room.

Hannah's POV
I leave the room with a large smile on my face. Walking down the hallway, I search for Nathan, I find him in his room sitting on his bed. He looks up at me when I enter. He kissed me, but it meant nothing. I keep reminding myself that, but his smile causes butterflies to sputter to life in my stomach. I stand in the doorway of his room and he stands up to greet me.
I look up into his eyes and every thought that doesn't involve him vanishes. He opens his mouth to say something, but then changes his mind. I speak for him.
"The kiss, I know it didn't mean anything. Don't worry about it."
"I'm sorry," he begins, "I just-"
I walk closer to him, he towers over me. I stare up into his eyes and smile. His eyes fill with passion. I raise my hand up to his face and stroke his cheek. He stands frozen under my touch. Slowly, he inches his face closer to mine. My breathing picks up. He stops, his nose slightly touching mine. I feel his breath upon my lips. I close the distance between us. I press my lips against his and close my eyes. I feel his hand stroke my cheek. Butterflies spring to life in my stomach and my lips curl into a smile on his lips. I break from the kiss and I see a wide smile spreads across his face.
"Oh right, I did have another reason to come in here," I say.
"What is it?" He asks.
"Lenice and I are planning on sneaking out in search of Alaina, but Sam won't keep her hawk eyes off of us. We're leaving when everyone is asleep, but in case anything goes down or if she starts to search for us, we need you to distract her."
"Distract her how?"
"I don't know, be saucy." A laugh escapes his lips and I can't help but laugh too.
"Fine, just let me know ahead of time when you're leaving and I'll do whatever it is you said."
"We're going later tonight. It's about five now, we'll leave around one."
"Okay. Are you sure you want to do this. If she is the cause of Mike's death and Alaina being gone, I don't want you to go. You're putting your life in danger." A sadness forms in his eyes and I consider not doing it at all, for him.
"I have to do this. I'm an FBI agent and my friends are in trouble. I promise I'll be okay." I give him a small smile in hope to encourage him, but I didn't believe myself. We could die if she catches us.
He wraps his arms around me and pulls me into a tight hug, "Please be safe," he whispers.
I break from his hug and give him a small kiss on the lips, "I will." I get off the bed and leave the room.
I walk back to the my bedroom where Lenice is still sitting on the bed. I sit down next to her and we don't say anything for awhile. I think about all the possible outcomes that could occur if we go through with this, the main one being death. We could die and all Sam would have to do it lie and say we left. No one would suspect her of anything.
Lenice breaks the silence, "Are we really going to go through with this?"
"What other choice do we have? If we don't find proof, then she could keep killing us and no one would notice."
"I know," she rolls her eyes, "when are we leaving?"
"I was thinking some time around one. Nathan knows and he's willing to help us."
"Are you sure us and not you?" She chuckles.
"You're a real pain you know that?"
"Yes and I love it!"
"I know it's only six but we should probably get some sleep."
"I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight," she states as she puts her head in her hands. I gently rub her back.
"We can do this," I say in hope that she'll believe me, but I don't even know if we can.
"I need a shower," she says as she rises from the bed, takes out some clothes from suitcase and heads to the bathroom. I hear the door close and lock behind her.
I rise from the bed upon hearing a knock at the door. I open the door and Sam stands on the doorway. She smiles at me expectingly. I stand to the side and let her enter the room.
"Hi Hannah," she sits down on the bed, "lets chat."
"About what exactly?" I ask annoyed.
"About Lenice. Is she in the here?"
"Shower."
"Great. I trust you Hannah and I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you. I wouldn't want anything bad to any of my guests so I need you to tell me the truth. Do you know anything about what may have happened with Eliza?"
"Nope, sorry." She squints her eyes at me, clearly looking for any sign that I'm lying; I'm not going to give her any.
"What happened to Lenice? I saw she has a cut on her face." She gets up and paces the floor.
"Branch."
"You guys were out pretty early. I went searching for her earlier and she wasn't there, around the same time you two went missing. Quite the coincidence."
"Indeed it is." She stops her pacing and turns to face me.
"You don't have to lie to me Hannah, just tell me what happened."
"After you tell me what happened to Alaina." She squeezes her lips together in a tight line.
"I already told you. She left because her mother was sick."
"And Eliza left because she didn't like Lenice. Perfectly normal knowing their history."
"That's a terrible lie Hannah."
"Darn, and I really thought I could convince you otherwise." I say dumbly.
"Be careful Hannah, this is a dangerous game you're playing. You may get hurt."
"Is that a threat I sense?"
"No, just a warning. I'll see you around Hannah." She turns towards the door but stop and turns back to me, "Oh, and keep this between us. We wouldn't want Lenice to get hurt either now don't we?" She leaves the bedroom.
Lenice opens the bathroom door. "You okay?"
"I'm doing great. Ready for bed?"
"You're lying, what happened while I was in the shower?" She questions.
"Nothing," I wave my hand, "lets get some sleep."
She walks gets in the bed and turns off the lamp. Darkness permeates the room.
I lie awake on my back and stare at the ceiling. Later, sleep takes over and I dream of a way of capturing Sam.
