The Force of Love.

Chapter Ten

Rey's POV-
Ben and I haven't talked much except for when I ask for him to move me, or get the med bot. It's been a sad and awkward past few days. But he hasn't left my side. He never leaves. I don't see him eat, or sleep,
he just sits.
But today I'm tired of the silence between us.
Ben?
"Yes?" He asks, coming to my side.
I'm scared. What if I can't survive without the pain numbing meds? What if I have to stay like this forever?
"Rey, you are strong. You are a survivor. To you this is just a minor setback. When they take you off the medicine today you won't feel pain, because you will have healed." He says to me, taking my hand.
Thank you Ben. I say.
Just then a medical team comes into the room.
"Kylo Ren. We need you to leave the room while with wrap her wounds and remove her IV. In an hour she will be off the pain medication and we want her bandaged so she can move." The head doctor says to him. Her hands wringing nervously.
"All right." He says and then turns to me and says,
I'll help you take your first steps alright? 
Ok.
And he leaves the room.

Ben's POV-
I step outside her room into the hallway, and a trooper comes over to me.
"Lord Snoke has requested your presence."
"Ok. Take me to him." I say.

How is the girl's state of  health
Snoke's voice booms throughout the chamber.
"She is recovering my lord."
Is she prepared to join the darkness
"Not yet my lord. I'm afraid Hux's insanity has greatly set me back in convincing her to join m- us. I ask for permission to execute Hux for his part in jeopardizing our plans."
Are you sure it's because of that, or because you have developed disgusting feelings for the girl
"My lord I can assure you feelings I tell her I have for her are entirely fake. (I lie cringing with my untrue words.) But master Hux is mentally unstable. He has made that clear, and he is not fit to hold a place of power."
Agreed
Proceed with his execution
You are dismissed.
"Yes my lord." I say and bow, exiting the chamber.
I start to run back to the medical bay. I want to be there for Rey when they let me see her.
I rush to the head doctor.
"Can I see her now?"
"We put her on some sleeping medication while we removed the IV and bandaged her, but she should be waking up right now. Be careful when you help her to stand. She is as fragile as a sand sculpture on a windy day right now."
She opens the door and I rush to her side. Her eyes flutter open and she croaks,
"Ben?"
"I'm here Rey." I say to her. I am broken inside because she doesn't love me, but I will be strong on the outside for her.
"Can you help me sit up?" She asks, her voice sounding like wind rushing through dead leaves.
I gently put my arms around her and pull her upright and set her on the pillow. Her skin feels like paper.  Her face is pasty white. Her hair is dirty and tangled about her. But she's still beautiful. I love her so much and I wish with all my heart that she felt the same.
"I'm going to stand now." She says to me. And as slowly as a sand slug she sits up straight all on her own. I take her hands to support her as she places her bare feet on the ground and shakily stands.
"Ben I'm standing!" She says her face lighting up with a small smile for the first time in a week.
I want to show her how excited I am, but when she smiles the blood red gash down her face that looks exactly like mine moves with her mouth and I feel my hate for Hux come back.
So I just smile a little and help her to walk across the room.
