Draco Malfoy

'Draco Malfoy means being alone,' was all of Draco's thoughts throughout Scorpius's school year. He sat alone in his room missing Scorpius. A tawny owl fluttered up to him with a letter. His hopes soared thinking it was from Scorpius. He opened it and read:

Dear Draco,

Albus has just been begging for Scorpius to come over for Christmas. We're having a nice party at the house. I think you both had better come. Better to get out of the house, eh? Ginny'd be happy to as long as we don't decide it'd be a wonderful idea to break everything.

Please reply soon,

Harry

He read over it twice before simply writing underneath Harry's name "sure". He wrote to Scorpius what they were doing and sent the owl. He sat on the bed thinking of how pathetic he was.

A few days later he received another owl.

Dad,

Professor Prince is the coolest. She's been punishing anyone who says anything bad about someone else in her ear shot. The rumor's slowed down a bit. Albus is a lot happier too. She said you went to school around the same time. She might've mentioned you saved her life too. That's so cool! I'm so glad we'll see her over Christmas. This'll make you happy: I'm getting the hang of a lot of spells in DADA and in some other classes. She's an awesome teacher.

Scorpius

Draco read it over and over. He was going to have to see Natasha at Christmas. He started thinking of ways to get out of it. He didn't want to deprive Scorpius of a good Christmas. He decided it was time to grow a pair and deal with it.
