"Where is he?" he shouted again, a few screams come from the rest of the students and teachers. Rose grabbed Peter's arm tightly. The Goblin gave a few steps forward, causing everyone to back away. The villain analyzed the mostly masked faces, Rose remembered that Flash didn't put one on, but mask or not, he wasn't going to stop anyway. I can't believe Norman sold Flash to the Goblin, and I can't believe I sold Flash to Norman in the first place, she thought. "Come on little Spider. Not that brave in front of your friends, huh? I just want to talk."

"Rose, let me go," Peter whispered to her.

"What? Are you insane?" she said, "someone probably already called the police, stay here." The Goblin had started to move towards the people, looking closely at every student looking for Flash.

"Rose, please," he tussled her hand and she released his arm.

"Peter, what the hell are you doing?"

"Let go of me."

"What is wrong with you? If you-" her voice was drowned in the sound of screaming, the Goblin grabbed and unmasked Flash Thomson and held a gun to his head.

"If somebody moves I'll blow his head," he announced, everybody froze. Sirens could be heard from the outside. The Goblin walked a couple of steps back, he pressed a button on his armor and a hoverboard came from outside. He hopped on top of the black piece of long metal and left the place before someone else could enter the building.

Rose turned around, Peter was gone. She ran inside, she needed to do something, all that was her fault. She left the gymnasium and crossed the hallways, she needed to get to the back of the building because for some reason her gut was telling her something really important about the Green Goblin, she knew where he was heading.

How could she had been so blind all the time? The hatred towards her sworn enemy made her so blind she helped him destroy the only person that could make Queens a better place, she could get an innocent person killed because of her stupidity. Rose felt like she had known the moment she sat on that ridiculously huge office in front of the person she was supposed to trust just because their blood linked them, but she never listened.

There was a metallic sound in another hallway and Rose feared that he might be back, she lost her shoes and mask on the way to back exit of the building, but she found something on the way there. A tie was laying on the floor and then a shoe, and another shoe, and a white shirt, and a mask like hers.

What she found outside of the building shocked her more than the realization about the Green Goblin, but somehow everything clicked. Peter Parker was standing in the parking lot with the Spider-Man mask on his hand. "What the actual fuck, Peter?" she broke out. The boy looked up at a terrified Rose standing barefoot in front of him. "You-you're Spider-Man," she hyperventilated. The boy walked towards her with the mask still in his fingers.

"I'll explain later," he said, taking the piece of cloth in both hands to put it on.

"You have to take me with you," Rose demanded.

"No way, you're staying here."

"Peter-" he grabbed her face in his hands, the cloth felt weird against her face and kissed her on the lips, a short but intense kiss. He let go and put his mask on. "Peter you don't know where he's going," she told him before he disappeared.

"I'll-I'll find out, Rose. I'll be okay."

"Take me with you, I know where he is," she begged, the boy let out a sigh, "I need to have a family reunion." Peter grabbed her by the waist and didn't ask questions, he pressed his wrist with his fingers and the silky material came out of the device, Rose let out a small scream when she felt her feet leaving the ground.

"So are you going to explain everything to me now or are you going to wait until we're not in mortal danger?" Peter asked, his voice sounded a little bit different with the mask on. Rose said nothing, she just  held onto the boy in fear she might fall down

"He's in the Osborn mansion," she informed him, trying not to look down.

"What?" He said, "are you sure?

"Just go there!"

Peter landed outside the house, there was a tall metallic fence that he jumped over easily. The boy ran towards the house and climbed the wall to the top floor. Rose just stared at the boy in fear until she realized that she was actually freezing. Literally freezing: she was barefoot and wearing a dress in the middle of the snow.

The only thing she could think of was banging on the fence until someone heard. She threw her fists against the metal and screamed for her life. A light turned on inside the house and the front door opened wide. A man that Rose recognized as one of Norman's butlers approached the fence with an umbrella.

"Miss Rose?" He asked, "what are you doing here?"

"Please, let me in," she cried, "it's an emergency."

"Mr. Osborn is... busy right now."

"Please, I'm freezing. I'm barefoot, I can't feel my toes. I'll leave when I warm up, please," she begged, she pointed at her almost purple feet.

"Jesus," he took out a key from his pocket, Rose walked through the fence and the man passed her the umbrella, "what happened to you?"

She closed the umbrella as fast as she could and hit the man on the back. The butler fell face down on the snowy pavement, she hit him again with the handle and ran towards the front door. She dropped the umbrella and closed the door. Her feet burned, every step she took was agonizing, but she needed to find them.

There was a scream and Rose jumped, it came from upstairs, she left the room she was searching and climbed with tears in her eyes, the skin of her heel slowly peeling off.

The second floor was an enormous bedroom she knew was Norman's, she ran looking for the place they could be but they were nowhere to be found, there were another scream and the sound of shattering glass. The sound was clearer but still came from above. An attic? But there was no entrance in the ceiling the sound could come from. I need shoes, was the only thing she could think off when she started to leave bloody footprints in her way.

She wasn't thinking straight and opened what looked like a closet, but there was just a narrow ladder going to an entrance to the ceiling. The next scream was the one to make her get the courage to climb regardless of the pain on her feet.

Climbing was harder due to the numbness of her toes and pain in her heels but she managed to get upstairs. There was an unconscious Flash tied in a chair, desks thrown on the ground with papers and pieces of metal.
