It was almost two in the afternoon when Principal Morita finished talking to Norman Osborn and left his office. The halls were crowded with students, as the bell had rung less than two minutes ago, there was a crowd of girls standing next to the line of beige-colored lockers.

"Good afternoon, girls," the principal greeted.

"Good afternoon, principal Morita" the group answered in a choir.

"Ms. Allan, can I have a word with you at my office?"

One of the girls nodded with uncertainty, she grabbed her bag from the floor and hung it on her shoulder. Elizabeth Allan was one of the top students in her class and extremely well behaved, so a call from the principal couldn't mean something bad, could it?

She sat on the same desk Rose Osborn had been sitting less than five hours ago, she took off her bag and put in on top of her lap while the principal sat on the other side.

"Hello, Liz, how is everything going?"

"Great, Mr. Morita, I feel this is going to be a good year."

"That's great!" He exclaimed, "Liz, are you still inscribed in the exchange program?"

"Well," she thought, "I think I still am, even though I haven't hosted anyone since that German girl in seventh grade."

"The thing is that we have an exchange student from Canada that came later than expected," he explained

"Two months after the school year began?"

Morita raised his shoulders "I believe that you would be an amazing host for her." Morita looked inside a drawer and took out the red folder with Rose's files, he handed it to Liz and kept talking, "her name is Rose Chandler, she's really smart, reminds me of you, I think you would be amazing friends."

Liz looked at the picture of the girl and read lightly what her eyes could catch of the girl's personal information.

"I would- I would be really pleased to host her, but I'll have to ask my parents-"

"I'll call your parents myself, don't worry about that," Liz nodded and handed Morita the folder, "no, no, you can keep that. Now you should go before the bell rings, you don't want to be late for class."

Liz put the folder in her bag and hung it on her shoulder again. The student had left the office as soon as the second bell rang. Morita stood up and looked on the shelf behind him, removed a large book from the pile and placed on his desk. He passed the pages until he found the one he needed and grabbed the wireless phone.

"Hello? Mrs. Allan? This is Principal Morita."

After forty-five minutes of hearing her chemistry professor, Mr. Cobbwell talking about his expectations for the new school year, Liz was free to go home. She walked to her locker and put all her books inside.

"Hey, Liz," someone called behind her, two of her friends were walking towards her, "what happened?" One of them asked.

"What do you mean, with Morita?" The same girl nodded, she was a tall and skinny girl with blonde locks, she had short bangs and wore a black headband.

"They want me to host an exchange student."

"Oh, so they did let her in." Michelle exclaimed, the other girls looked at her in wonder, "Rose, right?" Liz nodded, "I met her this morning before school on the basketball court, she said Morita was doubtful about letting her in."

"He decided in less than twenty-four hours?" The blonde asked, "that must be a new record."

"Morita said she was really smart, she probably did a test or something," Liz said.

"Yeah, that makes sense."

Liz finished emptying her bag and hung in on her shoulder, "Gwen, are you still coming to my house to do the chemistry assignment?"

"Did Cobbwell seriously gave homework during exams week?"Said Michelle with a serious face of indignation.

"God no," Gwen laughed, "we're supposed to pair up and make something positive to share next class or something."

"Geez, all this positivity is making me nauseous, see you later gals." Michelle waved and left the hall. The other two girls stayed a little longer chatting and left the school grounds on Gwen's car.

They arrived at Liz's place in ten minutes, Gwen parked the car next to the sidewalk and both of the girls got down, Liz opened the front door and both entered the house.

"Hello, sweetie, how was school?" Greeted Liz's mother. Doris Allan was a medium sized black woman, she had curly brown hair and a round face, she worked from home, so she was the only one at the house most of the time, "oh hello, Gwen."

"Hello, Mrs. Allan," the girl answered respectfully.

"Mom, did you get the call from Mr. Morita?" Liz asked while opening the fridge and grabbing a cup of grapes.

"Yes, I did."

"And?"

"It came a bit out of nowhere but I told them she could stay."

"Great," said Liz, "when is she coming?"

"Probably in two days, on Friday, so you will have all weekend to help her shop for all she needs this year."

"Yeah, that works for me, I'll just prepare the room after Gwen and I finish the assignment."

"Assignment?"

"Yeah, our chemistry teacher got bitten by a positivity spider and now he wants us to make something to share with the class," Gwen explained while eating Liz's grapes, "and we have no idea what we should make."

"Why don't you bake some cookies?" Doris offered, "there's premade mixture in the fridge."

"I guess that'll work," Liz added, Gwen nodded and opened the fridge.

"Yes, thank you, Mr. Morita," Rose spoke to her cell phone, "I will not disappoint you."

She hung the phone and looked excited at Harry, it was seven forty in the morning and her cousin was eating breakfast at the table as she was sitting on the couch still in her pajamas.

"So?" Harry asked with a bite of his sandwich still in his mouth, "are you in?"

"I'm in!" She exclaimed with excitement, "and I already have an assigned family."

"He did everything in a day? It normally takes about three weeks or so," Rose became a bit suspicious, "I wonder why he hurried so much."

"Yeah, I wonder too."

╔══Author's note═══╗
Liz is here! I really liked her character in Homecoming, I don't know why, so I wanted to add her to the story.
IMPORTANT: Liz's dad is not going to be the main villain, in fact, he is working for another, much bigger villain, he's still going to be an arms trader.
