Those two days left to move to Elizabeth Allan's house went by like months, she usually spent her day locked in her bedroom studying whatever the hell she was supposed to learn to pretend to be a top student, checking the high school's website and social media to save pictures and information that could be of use, and going around the city looking for someone who might be needing Spider-Man's help.

The clock had marked three o'clock in the afternoon of Friday when she got a phone call from a number she didn't recognize. Rose was hesitant at first, but she needed to appear normal, so she answered anyway.

"Hello?" she told the speaker.

"Hi, is this Rose Chandler?" said the person on the other side of the line, it was a female's voice.

"Yes, who is it?"

"My name is Doris Allan," she answered, "I'm Elizabeth's mother."

"Oh, right."

"Yes, Principal Morita said you would be meeting my daughter at school," the idiot of Norman had forgotten to tell her that, "are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine. It's just that I think I ate something undercook today and I wasn't feeling very well," she lied.

"Do you feel better?"

"Yes, better than before," she fake laughed.

"That's great, I would love you to join us for dinner tonight at six, I'll come pick you up."

"That sounds amazing, Mrs. Allan, I'll go pack my bags."

"Alright, sweetie, see you, goodbye."

The woman hung after Rose had said goodbye and the woman said goodbye as well, she locked her phone and put it inside of her back pocket. She noticed the sound of a car parking outside and then the door opening and closing.

Rose ignored her cousin coming home from school and started to pack her bag since she had brought only one backpack from home. The act took her less than ten minutes and she was almost done when Harry's head appeared on her door.

"Hey, why didn't you go to school today?" her cousin asked as he entered her room and sat on the couch that was on one corner.

"I think I got food poisoning," she lied again.

"How did you get food poisoning? All the food is well cooked here."

"I..." she tried to make something up, "ate a taco yesterday, from a food truck," she remembered seeing the food truck on her way back home the day before and said the first thing that came to her mind, "but I'm well now, better than ever."

"So, you'll be leaving today?"

"Yep."

"Oh," he breathed. Jesus Christ if this guy has a crush on me. "I'll miss seeing you around here."

"You'll see me at school," she cheered, "I'm not going too far away," she sat on one corner of the bed, facing him, and gave Harry a light punch in the shoulder.

"Rose, I-"

"Please don't," she cut him off, she knew that was coming, "You can't, we can't."

Harry opened his mouth but shut it again, he left her room without saying a word and closed the door behind him. Rose cursed the air but decided to ignore it and finish packing her stuff.

She took the Spider-Man file and hid it in the last pocket of the suitcase Norman had given her and zipped it close, she opened her laptop and removed the sticky post it from the screen, she folded it and hid it inside as well with her laptop and charger.

A honk from a car woke her up from a last-minute nap, she got up and checked her phone, it was exactly six o'clock, she stored it in her pocket and hung her backpack with the suitcase inside on her shoulder. Harry was sitting on the couch staring directly at the TV.

"Goodbye, Harry."

"See you at school, Rose."

Doris' car was parked outside, one of Norman's butlers was standing outside, she said goodbye to him as well and got in the back seat of the car.

"Do you need any help with your bags, sweetie?" Doris asked when Rose pulled her backpack inside with her.

"No, it's just this backpack, thank you."

The woman drove outside the Osborns' property and introduced herself.

"I'm Doris, it's a huge pleasure finally meeting you, this is Liz, my daughter."

"Hi," the girl on the other front seat of the car said with a smile, looking at Rose through the driver's mirror. "Do you like Thai food? Cause there's an amazing place near our house."

"I've actually never tried it before."

"Well, I just got an idea," Mrs. Allan inquired, "why don't we ask for takeaway, and we eat at home while watching a movie?"

Both girls nodded and the mother smiled.

"What's the matter, I thought you loved larb? Too much larb? Not larby enough. Okay, how many times do I have to say larb to get you to talk to me? You know I "larb" you," was the first thing Rose heard when she entered the Thai food restaurant.

There was a fifty-something-year-old woman talking to a boy that looked somehow familiar to her. Liz noticed the pair and gave them a friendly smile, the woman smiled back and the boy pretended not to notice her.

Both Doris and Liz ordered their food and Rose decided on whatever looked more familiar to her. Rose suddenly felt her phone vibrate in her pocket, she unlocked it and looked at the text message.

NORMAN: We found something.

ROSE: Not now, I'm with the Allans.

"The food's done girls," Doris announced, her daughter and Rose followed her outside.

"Who was that guy?" Rose asked, she made her way to the back seat and this time Liz sat next to her, "the one sitting with that woman."

"That's Peter, he's a classmate. We have like, three or four classes together if I'm right," Liz answered.

"So, Rose, you're our guest," Doris said from the front seat, "you have the honors to pick a movie for tonight."

Rose chose a random movie and both Allans agreed with her. The way home was full of talking and laughter, but Rose's mind was desperate to find the alleged superhero and go back home once and for all.
