Chapter 19

 I walked into my house to see two cops talking to Lez and Ryan, both were crying...They hadn't seen me, yet. I looked around, then saw Kendrick on the phone yelling frantically at someone. I felt so lost. I knocked on the wall....all heads faced me. Lez pushed past the officer and pulled me into her arms. She cried on me and kissed my forehead so many times.

        "Thank God you're okay." She sniffled as she released me....then Ryan began smothering...as he explained everything...how they unlocked my door to check on me and found me missing. I felt bad to make them worry so much. The police officers explained to me that my parents had left for work and had no idea i was missing...they advised me to tell them ASAP. I nodded as I watched the police leave. I locked the front door after they left. I turned around to see Lez and Ryan in my face.

        "I'm sorry guys....about everything...." I sighed. They just hugged me again...I fixed my eyes on Kendrick...he was just starring at me....his eyes looked relieved. I felt glad he still cared.

        "Where were you? And why are you cold and damp?" Ryan asked. I took in a deep breathe as I told them EVERYTHING. i mean EVERYTHING. Every detail about what I went through this night....all the way up to when Noah dropped me off. I looked over at Kendrick...the mood in his eyes shifted. He darted for the door...I chased after him.

        "KENDRICK!" I shouted. He stopped at his car. I quickly crossed the street...I stood before him. He didn't look me in the eyes," I'm sorry...."

        "Sorry for what? It's not like we were dating, right?" He scoffed as he open the car door...i shut it.

        "I made you think I had feelings for you...just to let you see I still love, Noah."

        "Just shut up....you don't love him" He snapped at me," From what I see....wouldn't know love if it was standing right in front of you." 

        "Ken-"

        "Just stop talking....and listen for once, ok! Kris...I fell for you- HARD. I've never felt this strong for someone....ever. And all I want is to be with you, but all you care about is Noah....well I hope you to are happy now." He opened the car door, but I closed it again.

        "Please stay. Ken....I do love you.......as a friend, though.....nothing more." I added. His eyes grew more angry," I want to be your friend."

        "Sorry, but...I have enough friends." He opened the car door...I didn't close it this time. I just watched him speed away.
