My Head On Your Shoulder

Part 25

Just so you guys know, I didn't have the heart to write Dumbledore's death scene. It was too sad. So I just skipped over that part, plus I imagine most of you have read the book or watched the movie. I decided to put the movie clip so you guys could watch, try not to cry😭

It can't be real. He can't be dead. Snape....that filthy bastard. How could he do such a thing? Snape just killed him. I saw Dumbldore die at the hands of Snape. Dumbldore trusted Snape....and he killed him.

I saw Snape and the rest of the death eaters run out. I knew i had to follow them, who knew what else they would do. The sounds of glass crashing from the great hall startled me but that doesn't stop me. I had to kill him....i needed to kill him. I saw Snape along with Draco and Bellatrix running down towards Hagrid's hut. I quickly ran after them.

I don't even know if Hagrid made it out in time for Bellatrix to blow his house up. I ran to the house to see both professor Snape and Draco.

"He trusted you! You betrayed him. And now you need to face the consequences! You think I didn't see you do it!" I yelled at Snape, he along with Draco turns around and faces me

"Incetartum!" I shouted, but he instantly blocks my spell

"Fight back you coward!" I yelled at him, but he did nothing

"Sectumsempra!" I yelled but got blown back onto the ground, Bellatrix shot me in the chest

"Don't kill him. He belongs to the dark lord" Snape says to her, she slowly walks away laughing

"How dare you use my own spells against me....I'm the half blood prince you fool!" He says stepping closer to me

I tried to get up but the pain was too much. He kicked my wand out of my hand before turning around and leaving me on the ground. I suddenly heard the sound of shouting coming from the castle, i looked over to see the dark mark in the sky. I used all the strength i could muster and made my way back to the castle.

I walked through the crowds of crying students only to see his lifeless body on the ground. The professors and everyone with their head down staring at professor Dumbledore's body.

I walked to the front to see Hermione kneeled down below him, i slowly walked to her and placed my hand on her shoulder. She turned around and instantly pulls me in for hug. We let go of each other as i kneeled before him. I heard the whispers behind me, i tried not to face them. I didn't know how i could face any of them. This was all my fault....everything was always my fault.

Suddenly a light shined behind me as I tried to control my tears that were spilling out. I turned to see every wand up in the air with the light shined at the tip. It was such an emotional dedication to him.

I knew what needed to be done....i needed to find the horecrux's and kill Voldemort. I grabbed Hermione's hand as i lifted my wand up as well, finally saying goodbye to the professor.

A few days later....

Days after the tragic event. I found myself on the balcony of the astronomy tower trying to figure out a way to defeat him.

"Do you think Draco would've done it?" Hermione asks me

"No....it was Snape. Draco lowered his wand, he wasn't capable of doing such a thing. It was always Snape....and i didn't do anything. I always had this feeling about him....that he was evil or....this was my fault" I tell her

"Harry this wasn't your fault! I need you to know that. I will not have you thinking that his death was your fault. Snape is a murderer, he and Voldemort are the only ones to blame" Hermione says grabbing my hand

"Hermione....i should've done something....but i couldn't. He said i was worth more than him, but that wasn't true. I made a promise to him that i would do exactly as he said. I shouldn't have listened to him. If i did something....he would still be alive"

"What do we do now?" She asks softly, nearly choking out tears

"Open this" I tell her handing her the fake locket

Slowly she opens it and read the letter to herself. She looked at me confused.

"Whoever this man is R.A.B, he took the real locket. How do we get it? Let alone find out who R.A.B is?"

"Not you....me. I need to find the rest of the horecrux's and destroy them"

"Harry I won't let you go through this alone. You need me" Hermione says sounding almost desperate

"Us.... you need both of us Harry. I know i haven't been very supportive of you two but your my best friends. If you plan on saving the wizarding world, i want to help" I heard Ron's voice say behind me

"You need us Harry. We are going to be there for you whether you like it or not" Ron says coming towards us.

"I can't go back you guys. I need to finish whatever Dumbldore started and i don't know when that will be....but i will let you and Ron know where I am"

"Are you daft? We told you we aren't abandoning you. We are coming with you and helping you on your mission whether you like it or not. Do you understand?" Hermione says slightly raising her voice at me

"We will help find the horecruxes. There are too many for you to find them by yourself" Ron says joining us as we look outward off the balcony

"You guys are sure about this? There is no going back. Hermione you could miss school and your friends. What about your families? You two actually have people waiting for you" I asked them

"We're your family Harry. We will not let you go through all of this alone. Just as Hermione said" Ron says sincerly

It was alot for them to give up. I doubt i would even be able to survive without them. But how could i do this? Where am i supposed to start? I know having Hermione and Ron with everything will work out. I'm the chosen one....and it was time that i finally fulfilled the prophecy.

I grabbed Hermione's hand knowing we will get through this together.
