Forgotten Blue

3 Choice

After Lance left they all soon followed. Pidge first, then Hunk and Coran, leaving just Allura and Shiro on the bridge.

"Allura, we need you just as much as anyone else maybe even more, you know what is right"  That was all Shiro says before leaving to do other things.

Allura stood at the helm looking into the abyss of space. What was she to do now? Does she give herself in to Lotor? Or should she find another solution? The questions just kept going through her mind. She thought about what Shiro had said. She knew she was important but...

She looked over to the door as it slid opening revealing Lance.
"Oh, hey."

"Hey" his voice was serious. Which caught Allura off guard. "I think I have a plan on what we should do."

Allura looked at him "A plan?"

"Yes, I was thinking that I should go in your place".

Allura was stunned. "What, No! You can't go, why would you even suggest that!"

Lance just looked at her. Firm and unwavering "You are needed on the ship, you are the only one that can pilot it"

"Well, we can just evacuate the solar system, I know it's far fetched but it could work"

Lance shook his head "I thought of that too, but we couldn't even evacuate a country let alone a planet in three days" Lance gave a sigh "I truly think my plan is the best option"

"We'll hold a meeting here in about an hour" she took a breath "we'll decide as a group"

Lance smiled and said "Ok" before leaving the way he'd come.

They all stood on the bridge, all looking at Allura. It made her uncomfortable. She sighed out the stress filling her before speaking "We all know why I have held this meeting" They looked down to the ground "we must figure out what to do in the most recent event with Lotor"

Shiro was the first to look up "I think the only thing we can really do is evacuate the planets"

"That wouldn't work" it was now Pidge speaking "there are too many civilians on one island to evacuate in time, how could we even believe we would be able to decamp a whole solar system?"

Shiro just nodded, understanding the predicament they are in. But still Pidge continued "And even if we had magically got them all off of the planet, where would they go? They no longer would have a home."

Allura looked around the table everyone looking down. No-one had been able to figure out the a good plan, well besides Lance. She can't let him take her spot, it isn't right. She took a deep breath "The only thing we can do is follow Lotor's instructions"

"Princess we can't!" Coran was the one who yelled "you can't go with them!"

"It's the only way" She was calm, calmer then she thought she would be. "I'll give myself in to the Galra"

Lance shot up surprising everyone except Allura. "I'll take her place!" He yelled. "I'll say I'm still the blue lion's paladin and take Allura's place." He looked at everyone with a smile "It's the only way."

"He's right" It was Shiro "we can't risk loosing Allura, Lance's plan seems the best at this moment in time"

Allura looked at him "What?"

"It's the best thing we could do" he was so calm, completely enthralled in the idea "think about it Allura, we don't lose you, and Lotor doesn't destroy the system." He didn't even take a breath before continuing "I agree with Lance's plan."

She look over to Hunk, he was in utter shock. He couldn't even move.

"Who are you?" The voice came from in front of Allura. "WHO ARE YOU!?" It was Pidge her face red looking straight at Shiro. "How could you even think that it is a good idea!" She was still yelling. "We'll loose Lance!"

"That is the sacrifice we will have to make" that wasn't the Shiro she knew, that wasn't the leader that comforted her after her father's memories got erased. "Allura" His face was calm. "We can't loose you" there was pain in his eyes, but was it for Lance or the idea of loosing her. "We need you for more then just the castle, we need you for Voltron-"

"We need Lance for Voltron!" Hunks voiced boomed through the entire bridge, tears running down his face. "He's just as-" his voices became quiet "as important as-"

"You don't truly believe that Hunk" He turned to face Allura "Allura, you are vital and too important, plus nobody but Lance would be able to take your place." He was implying something that made Allura shake in anger. "This is the best choice of action"

"I agree with Shiro" It was Keith "I know how horrible it sounds, but this is our best bet"

"I hate this plan, but it does make the most sense, sorry princess" Coran turned his head to Allura, sadness obvious in his eyes.

"Damn it" Pidge.

Allura looked down at her feet. The choice has been made four against three. Lance is being taken away by the Galra. She couldn't believe it.
