Erika's POV:
It is now 3am and Im still not sleeping, so Im gonna go up to the roof as I usually do at nights when I can't sleep.I unplug my phone and head to my window to the ladder that is placed on the side of my house.I open my window quite enough for my mom not to hear it open and close it enough for me to still open it.I climb on the ladder and sit down on the top with a view of the City of LA.I then hear creaks of the ladder "Oh shit" I say to myself knowing its my mom.A head peeps up from the ladder "Hey" "Taylor what the fuck you doing here?" I say confused as in how she knew I was up here. "Couldn't sleep and you weren't responding to my texts". "maybe cuz Im sleeping" "You clearly arent" she says pointing out. "What happened today" she says sitting next to me "Joe attacked me" I say still looking at LA. "Fucking scum bag" "I know right" I answer back "Why was Jake involved" I knew she was gonna ask "He saved me" I answer "and drove you home?" "Yeah,Why?" "I don't think you should be hanging out with him Erika" I look at Taylor "And why's that" and cross my eyes. "He's a weirdo and he isn't the guy that you might of dreamed off" I look at her "Have you ever spoke to him?" I question "No" "So don't tell me to stay away If you have never spoken to him" I snap "You should go we have school tomorrow" I say telling her to leave.Taylor drops down from the ladder and heads home while I stay up and think about the conversation we just had.Why do people think he's bad? He's actually really nice when you speak to him.After a couple mins of thinking time I begin to go down from the ladder when I hear a voice "Hey,What you doing?" I turn around while still on the ladder to find Jake shirtless leaning on his window looking at me. "Oh Im just heading down from the roof" "Watch so you don't fall" He chuckles then closes his window. I continue to walk down and end up in my bed room. I close my window and head to bed and slowly fall asleep.
