I push the door open as I look around the room to see if anyone was around I lay low trying to get up the stairs and into my room as soon as possible but as I reach the stairs I look up to see my mom with crossed arms standing at the top. "Where you been?" My mom says standing up in a straight posture "I was at Jakes house" I state while walking up, I tried to sound confident infront of my mom simply because I want her to know that she can't controll me anymore "Erika I told you that you can't be speaking to that boy" I sigh "Mom Im 18, You can't tell me I can't talk to people and plus Jake is not the guy you think he is" I calmly remark,I pass my mom and reach my room where I look through the window to see Jake already took the black-out out "Erika,do you really like Jake?" She says as I begin to head in the bathroom "I really don't want to talk about this mom" I close the bathroom door shut and head in the shower "It's been a long night" I say to myself
I leave the shower and wrap myself in a towel and head to my closet. I open my bathroom door "Hey" I instantly jump "Justin wtf you doing here?" "Erika,can we talk?" I sigh "No Justin there is nothing to talk about" He begins to come closer as I back up "So are we over?" "We were never a thing" I state and open the door to que him to leave. I lead Justin down to the door "Oh btw Mike told me you and weird kid Jake hooked u, I guess the whole school will know now" He grins "Goi tell sweetie" I answer as I push him out the door and slam it shut. I head back upstairs and go to the closet and pick out some clothes for the day and get changed in the bathroom. I throw myself onto my bed with my face in my pillows till I hear something hit of my window. I get up and look through to find Jake holding a piece of paper saying "Wanna hang out today?" I nod yes and begin to write something and hold it up "Ill be oveer at yours in 3min" as Jake nods okay and smiles and we both disapear. I put on a pair of shoes and run over to Jakes house. I chap on the door as Jake rushes down and opens it letting me in. "So what you wanna do today?" he asks leading me to his room "I was thinking of going shopping today" I giggle "Fine" he answers while putting on shoes and a nice Jacket "Oh lookin nice there" I say looking Jake up and down "you look good yourself" he replys as we leave his room and head to the garage where he kept his bike. "We are taking the car today" "Oh why?" I ask "I wanna talk to you when we ride" he says as a smile grew on my face. We get inside the car and begin the leave the garage and on the road. A silence is kept between me and Jake when he brakes it "Erika,What are we?" I freeze not knowing what to answer I nervously seek for an answer to come out. "I don't know Jake" He looks at me for a second but then turns back to look at the road ahead "I really like you Erika" he points out while still focused on the road "I like you too Jake but Im scared about our friendship..I don't want it to get ruined" I say worried "So what do you want to be?" he asks as I get put in the spot "I want.. I want us to be a relationship that does not have a label,Because you mean alot to me Jake and I want to be with you but I don't know if this would surivive" I look at Jake driving "I will do what ever it takes for it to survive" He states as we continue to drive on.
