I step out the car and walk towards the front doors with Maddie and Taylor running after me "Erika! We can't be here!" Shouts Maddie as I continue to walk "I forgot something from here" I say arriving at the door. I reach to open the handle but it was locked and no way off getting in. I peeked through the glass window, the mansion was abandoned and boring inside. I take a step back and think of a way to get in. I quickly run into the back yard of the house and see if the back door was open and obviously it was. "Erika! You are trespassing!" Shouts Taylor as I open the glass framed door "Pfff like I haven't done it before" I say stepping inside the house. Taylor and Maddie follow after me as I head to the grand foyer. "Wow" says Taylor with her eyes getting wider "Right?" I say already climbing the stairs "You really do know you're way around" states Maddie "I lived here" I say looking back at them following me up. I open the door where me and Jake slept and looked for my back pack "So this is where you two slept" "Only for one night" I say focused on finding the back pack. "Shh" I say looking at Taylor and Maddie. I hear noises coming from the room next door as I quickly go over "Erika!" whispers Maddie. As you may already know.. Im pretty stubborn as you can see by the stuff I get myself into.. As I reach for the door knob but it opens instantly. I look and stare "Jake?" "Erika?" We look at each other with me wondering why 1. He is out of the police station and 2. Why he is even here "Why are you here?" I ask "I could ask you the same question" he answers and I stare speech less. "Erika. We have to go." Says Taylor leading me by my arm down stairs. I don't stop looking at Jake as I slowly go down the steps to the exit doors of the house. We leave the house with me thinking about Jake once again. Im confused about the whole situation with the mansion..
I didn't speak a word while driving home. Taylor tried speaking to me and so did Maddie but I just nodded. I want to speak to Jake but he lied to me.. he knew about the house not being his fathers he had too... I wonder if he will even come home.
