Chapter 13

Evangeline

I lay against the medical bed as Joel walked around, silently. I tried to stop, but the tears still made their way down my cheeks. I was more than sore and I only wanted to go home. Go home and sleep. But like Blake said, this was my home now.

Joel came to me with an ice bag. He searched my eyes gently and placed the bag against my face making me flinch. "Sorry, Luna. For the... bruise".

"Its ok. Thank you" I said truthfully and reached up to press the bag against the purple bruise on my cheek and under my eye.

Joel sighed, "Luna, at this rate, there'll be more bruises than your skin".

I closed my eyes, "What can I do? I'm trying, Joel! He doesn't understand me!". I looked away from him and sighed. "Is there anything else you need to check?" I asked softly. "I have things to do".

Joel looked at me silently before shaking his head, "I'm done, Luna. Remember, try not to anger him. I understand it is hard, but only someone like you can change him".

I stared up at the ceiling and shook my head gently as my sore muscles protested, "He already broke me" I whispered.

Without another word from either of us, I stood trying to hide my pain from Joel. I knew he felt my pain but I didn't need anything else. I walked towards the door and headed out. I walked into the living room which was occupied by Blake and his pack. Heads turned my way and I stopped. Blake stood and made his way to me, "And?" he asked.

"I'm fine, really" I said trying not to anger him. "Nothing serious" I added.

Blake nodded and wrapped his arm around my waist, "I'll repay you. Tonight, Evangeline" he said leaning down to kiss along my neck. "You and me, ok?".

I nodded slowly and gulped, "Whatever you say, Blake" I answered.

He smiled and led me to the couch where he sat me on his lap. I felt so uncomfortable yet I knew if I moved, I'd be punished. "Anyways" Blake continued to say. "Evangeline, I heard you wanted your mother over?". I froze on his lap and quickly looked at Dustin. I nodded slowly. "And your father?" he asked.

"No!" I shouted on impulse. I stared at the ground and tried to control my shaking, "I mean, not him. Please".

Blake's arm tightened around me. I felt his breath at the back of my neck, "You do not order me, understand?" he growled. "I order you".

"Yes" I whispered. Soon, Blake's hand rested against my thigh. I closed my eyes shaking my head, "Blake, please. Please don't" I begged. There was not only other men here, my mate and his pack were in here. They'd know how weak I am towards Blake. Blake wanted to humiliate me. And there was nothing I could do. "Blake, I'm begging you. Stop". I whispered.

"I think not" he growled. "Its time I showed everyone here who you belong to".

I felt a few tears on my cheeks as his hand moved up. I placed my own on top of his, "Blake, not here" I begged, moving in his lap. I turned to Dustin who stared wide eyed. His eyes met mine and I saw it- regret and helplessness towards this. Soon, his head along with the other pack warriors turned away. I turned to my mate only to see the same, only his hands were clenched. And a gasp escaped my lips when his finger entered me. A small sob escaped my lips only to be followed by a moan. "Stop" I begged.

"You belong to me, Evangeline" Blake growled against my ear. He added yet another finger and I clamped my mouth closed. "I can do what I want with you. When I want to. And you know what you'll do? You'll be waiting for me. You hear me? Willingly or I'll take you by force. Either way, Evangeline, I'll have you when I desire you, understand?" he asked. I nodded. "Say it!".

"Please let me go" I whispered. Blake used his free hand closed it around my throat. I choked when I gasped and he squeezed. My breathing was cut short and he sped up his fingers. Tears blurred my vision as I tried to yank his arm away. My body shuddered despite myself and my muscles clenched as I climaxed on him. Choked sobs escaped my lips as Blake removed his hand.

"Now, why don't you go make us some food?" he asked. It wasn't really a question. I could hear the demand behind his voice and so could everyone else. Everyone else. Humiliation ran through my veins and I wanted nothing more than to hide.

I stood on wobbly legs and I realized that my release trailed down my leg. My vision blurred as I took a few steps and before I knew it, I was falling into darkness.

Joel

I stood frozen as Alpha Blake knelt beside Luna. His form was shaking and I could feel a hint of worry through the link. Whatever he did or said, he definitely felt something towards Luna. "Joel!" Alpha snapped.

"Alpha" I answered moving to him. I saw him leaning forward, about to pick her up, "Alpha" I stopped him, hurriedly. "I wouldn't advise moving her just yet".

"What is wrong with her?" Alpha Wes growled from the side and relaxed when his Beta, Lakes, told him something.

I frowned only to forget about it as I knelt beside Luna, opposite of Alpha. I looked up at Alpha, "I need to examine her, Alpha".

"Do it now!" he growled.

I gave a short nod and pressed my fingers against her neck. Werewolves, especially Alpha's and us Pack Doctors could hear extremely well, but it was habit to want to feel the pulse. Luna's pulse was slow and steady. I let my affinity flow through my hands and cover Luna like an aura. My eyes snapped open in shock and I froze. "Its not possible" I told myself, silently.

"What's wrong?" Alpha Blake growled, ordering me. His hands were clenched and eyes were starting to get dark.

"I am going to lay her on the couch, Alpha. I need space" I added. Alpha moved forward and picked her up in his arms. Her head rolled back and her body was limp.

Soon, Luna was laying in her back on the couch. Her breathing was soft against the dead silent room. "Tell me now!" Alpha Blake said from my left.

I looked at him, finally. The men glared at me, expectantly especially Alpha Wes. I gulped not knowing what to say. "She is exhausted" I started. "For a fact, her body has collapsed and her wolf is now in the process of healing her. But..." I paused at his heated haze and continued before getting growled at. "Luna is... I have no idea how it is possible, but... she is carrying your pup, Alpha".
