"They can never take this away from you. This is yours forever." She stroked the small branches.
"Well they can never take it away, but something else can. Nothing is mine." I gazed off and quietly repeated, "Nothing is mine."
"You have me. They can't take me away." She believed every word she had just said. Her innocent eyes testified to that.
"There is no guarantee." Hesitating, I said, "Even, you can be taken away."
"You don't own anything?"
"No. I wait for what's to come. Then will I have all of what really matters."
