.:Tyler's POV:.

It's been a few days since we had our last basketball practice, that's because it's almost winter break. Josh's bruise has gone away, thankfully. So his face is back to being absolutely beautiful. Right now in Math class, it's pretty boring. None of my friends are in this class, and I've kinda been day-dreaming the whole time.
The bell rang and shook my out of another one, "Class Dismissed!" The teacher shouted over the chitchat of high schoolers. Now it's lunch time and I waited for Josh to round the corner and come with me.
"Woah!" He said as he almost ran right into my chest, I chuckled.
"Come on! We're gonna be late!" I tugged at his hand and we made our way to the cafeteria.
When we got our food we plopped down next to everybody else "Hi!" Josh said happily.
"Hey Josh!" Patrick said, scrambling over Petes lap to sit by him, "Look! Isn't this the cutest thing?" He showed him a picture on his phone and they both 'awed'.
I shot a confused glance to Pete, 'What is it?' I mouthed to him, 'A puppy Patrick wants' he mouthed back, I nod in understanding.
"So Joshua." I say after Patrick goes back to his original seat, "Do you want to hang out after school today? I have something special planned." I smiled at him. He looked back and nodded, a sweet smile played on his lips.
"Sure! Lemme tell my ma-mom." He corrected himself. I knitted my eyebrows and nodded, he never corrects himself when he tries to say mama. Maybe it's because everyone is around. He smiled brightly after his mom texted back.
"She said it was okay!" He did an excited little hop in his seat. I laughed and gave him a small hug, kissing his forehead as always.

**time skip to before school ends because I can**

In science class we didn't do anything fun, Joshua was in that class so I mostly just stared at him and admired his beauty from across the room. A few times he would look my way, so I would look down at the open book and act like I was reading.
When the bell rang, Mr. Wantdern, our teacher told me to stay behind.
"Yes, sir?" I asked as I walked up to his desk. He sighed.
"You've seem to be, distracted this class period. Something on your mind?" He raised his eyebrows when he said the word 'distracted'.
I felt hot, "Uh... nope. Nothing on my mind. S-sir." Maybe he caught me looking at Joshua more than a few times.
"Okay, Mr. Joseph." He shuffled some papers on his desk, "You have a good weekend." I nod and quickly make my way out of the class and to my locker. Joshua was waiting for me there, and when he saw me his face lit up.
"So what was that special thing that you said you had planned?" He asked excitedly.
I smiled and put my stuff away in my locker, and closed it before answering, "You'll see." I texted my brother to see if he had everything set up, since he didn't go to school today. He text back I thumbs up and I take Joshua's hand and headed out to my car.
When we got there I opened his door and shut it behind him, jogging over to my side and starting the car, driving off when our seat belts were on.
When we got to my house we hopped out and I led him inside, "Welcome to my humble abode!" I said and waved my arms about, gesturing around.
He giggled, "You are a weirdo." I smiled at him and led him up to my room.
My rooms not too clean, but Joshua said it was cleaner than his room, I laughed at that and sat down on my bed.
"So when are we going?" Joshua asked, antsy to see Tyler's surprise.
Tyler looked at his digital clock, "As soon as I get ready." He huffed.
"But you already are.... Ty-Ty." He gave my a pleading look.
"This is special, like I said. So," I paused and looked at my outfit,"I need to change and look nice."
"You already look nice." Joshua said, his face turning a shade of pink. I smiled at him.
"Thank you." I stood up and and walked to my closet, "You look nice yourself, now do you want to choose what shirt I change into? I'll keep the pants."
His face turned even redder as he scurried over and began to pick through my shirts, "These smell nice." He giggled. I smile as his eyes light up as he sees one shirt. "Oooo, Ty-Ty! Wear this one! Please please pleasseeeee?"
I chuckled and looked at the shirt, a pink button up. "Of course, my daisy." He smiled and handed it to me.
I took it from him and laid it on the bed, starting to take off my other shirt before I looked over at Joshua, "Is it okay if I change my shirt right here." He didn't say anything but nodded, his face still red. "Okay." I took the rest of the shirt off and started to unbutton the shirt, probably should have done that before I took off my shirt. But then I smirked and I felt Joshua's eyes wonder. When I finally got it all undone I put it on and started the button it back up. Joshua regained his composure and started to fiddle with his shirt collar.
"Okay. Ready?" I asked, reaching out with my hand.
"Yeah." He smiled and took my hand. We went downstairs and to the door, I put on some nicer shoes than my sneakers and opened the door, car keys in hand. "Okay mom! We're going to the place!!" My whole family was in on what I was planning, so she knew.
"Okay sweetie! Stay safe!" She shouted from the other room.
"Ok ma!" I let Joshua go before me so he wouldn't see my sister come down the stairs and wink at me. I rolled my eyes and followed him out, shutting the door behind me.
When in the car, I started it and looked over at the boy beside me, "You choose the music, it's gonna be a long car ride." He nodded excitedly.
"Do you have an AUX cord?" He asked. I nod and hand it to him.
The faded pink haired boy plugged it into his phone quickly and a song started playing as he hummed along.
I smiled over at him and looked back at the road as I started driving, "You're so cute." He blushed and kept on humming.
"Here." I handed him an eye cover, "You need to be blind-folded." His face held a mild shock.
I laughed slightly, "It's okay. I promise I'm not taking you to a forest to kill you." I smiled again, "Quite the opposite, really." He sighed a breathy breath.
"You got me worried there." He laughed and went back to humming as he put on the eye cover.

**Another time skip to 30 minutes later**
I parked the car on the gravel road, and turned to Joshua. "Hey, Joshy" I whispered and gently shook the sleeping boy, "Wake up, we're here." He jolted awake instantly.
"Where are we??" He asked, lifting up his eye cover. He looked around, "A.... corn field?" He said in confusion.
I chuckled, "Don't look so sad, we have to walk the rest of the way."
"Oh." He said and smiled, getting out of the car. I walked over to him and kissed his forehead before walking to the trunk and opening it, taking out a picnic basket and a fuzzy gray blanket. I shut it and walked back over to Joshua, giving him a shy smile and a small shrug.
His eyes crinkled happily, one of my favorite things about him, when he saw what I had planned, but he didn't know what had for the end of this 'date' if you want to call it that.
"Picnics are my favorite!" He said cheerfully as he took the blanket off my hands.
"Mine too." I smiled and started leading him to a barely visible trail, "You comin'?" I asked, turning around to see Joshua and cozied up to the blanket.
"Yeah." He said and skipped up to my side, I grabbed one of his hands in mine.
"I hope you like where I take you." I say while keeping my eyes ahead, looking for the fireflies that come out around this time, about 5:20ish.
"Are we almost there?" Joshua asked a little tiredly about 10 minutes later.
"Mhmm." I hummed, turning one way then another and finally coming to a stop. I put the basket down and moved out of the way for the small boy to have a look.
He gasped, "It's beautiful." Around us was long grass dotted with small flowers and bushes, fireflies light up  all around, giving the place a hazy yellow/green glow.
"Here." I took the blanket from him and laid it out on a clearing of soft grass, setting the basket right in the middle.
He sat down and I sat on the other side of him, admiring how the light made him even more adorable. "You're staring Ty-Ty." He giggled softly, "What did you pack to eat? I'm hungry!" I laughed and opened up the picnic basket and grabbing out a few things.
"I hope you don't mind its Taco Bell. I can't cook so I just got this, I don't know what you like so I got like three different things." He giggled and watched as I looked around in there to find what he was looking for, "Oh and I grabbed us both waters." He nodded and took a water from my full hands.
I grabbed a chalupa and unwrapped it quickly, "Which do you want?" I pointed to the three as I said them, "I have another chalupa, if you wanted one too, then. I have a hard shell and a soft shell taco."
"Hmm. I'll take the chalupa." He said. I smiled and kindly handed it to him.
As we ate in a peaceful silence, and owl screeched and Joshua jumped closer to me, his head cowering on my chest.
"Hey it's okay." I said calmly, "It was just an owl." He moved, his face red.
"Oh." He said, then went back to finishing up his food.
"Uh.... Joshua?" I asked shyly, "Can I ask you something?"
He looked over at me with his mouth full, he hummed out a what and I blinked, thinking of how I would word what I was about to say.
"Um.. uh.. I.. We haven't r-really know each other f-for too long, and I really like you. And i-it feels right to be h-holding your hand and k-kissing you. S-so I was w-wondering if you wanted to-to be my boyfriend?" I closed my eyes, expecting to hear him walk away, but when I open my eye he was smiling at me so wide I thought his cheeks were going pop. His eyes shown as he answered, "Yes!! One hundred times yes!! I really like you too, Tyler." He hugged me so tight I though I wasn't going to be able to breathe, then he let go. "Why were you so nervous?"
I chuckled and rubbed the back of my neck, "It's just nerve wrecking, you know? But I'm glad you said yes." I smiled at him, then I looked up at the sky. "We should probably get going." He nodded and started helping me pack up.
Once we got packed up we trudged back to my car, Joshua holding on tightly to my hand, scared something would get him from the shadows. "There it is! The car!" I laugh lightly as I unlock it and Joshua goes dashing into it with the blanket wrapped around him. I shook my head and went to put the basket in the trunk again. Once it was in I went and got in, starting the engine and putting my seatbelt on, "Okay. Let's go home."
