An extra long chapter for you guys! Also, take notice of the title of each chapter (the dates). It's important lol
-----------The small ladybug crawled up the white curtains that covered the bright, blazing, sun from entering through the glass window of my bedroom.
I slowly let my finger lay on the curtain. The small red bug climbed onto my finger as I dropped it immediately to the ground. I let it try to walk closer to the walls again before I stepped on it.
I stepped on it as hard as possible with the leather slippers that covered my warm feet. I smooshed it till the creature didn't move anymore.
I hated bugs.
I cleaned up the mess as I let out a yawn. Today was Jenna's second engagement party.I decided not to go to the Hotel today so I could get things done at home first. I called Karen at the front desk only for her to tell me that Lola had come in to inform her Justin wasn't going to show up.
Karen told me that "Ms.Lola" explained in full detail why he wouldn't be coming.
I told Karen to spare me the fucking details. Justin stayed upstairs, I didn't know it was that hard for him to come downstairs and work.
Unless he went home with someone. Someone in particular.
I erased any lingering thoughts I had left in my head, focusing on what I needed to get done.
I grabbed the crumbled list from the marble counter as I tied my hair in a bun and headed out the door. I needed to fill my fridge with healthy foods that I won't be touching anytime soon.
I also ran out of Barbecue chips and Oreos.
-
I enter through the sliding doors of the grocery store. The cool air of the AC hit my skin as soon as I walked in.
I headed down the soup aisle, remembering that I needed to make daddy's famous chicken noodle soup when I get home.
"Angelina?" I heard a soft but rough voice say my name.
"Patrick?" I gasp as I turn around.
"Its been too long!" He says as he rushes to give me a hug.
Patrick was a college friend. We had many classes together. I was running late for class one day, and I grabbed a smoothie for breakfast. I was running as fast as my legs let me so I wouldn't miss the lecture.
I squished the cup in my hand not realizing how tight I was holding it.
The lid flew open as the wet icy liquid poured out onto my hands and my leggings. I looked like I pissed myself. Everyone around me walked by saying nothing nor helping.
Patrick was however there. He didn't help me either at first.
Don't get me wrong, he's a good guy. That's why he started laughing uncontrollably. Eventually, he helped me. Ever since then we really clicked.
"Oh god, it has! How've you been holding up?" He asks, cracking a smile that showcased his pearly white teeth.
"Great! I finally co-own one of the Russo Hotels now." I say smirking.
Patrick knew all about father's businesses. He told me one day, that I'd own one myself.
I told him in my dreams.
We haven't seen each other since graduation day. I haven't even thought of ever calling him to see how he was doing. He was truly a good friend to me.
