"Hey, wake up." My eyes opened but the side of my face was cold against the desk and my head was cradled in my arms, I felt a hand gently shaking me to arouse me from my slumber.

I slowly lift my head up, and turn to look at my waker, I'm met with a bandana and a little bit of a smug grin.

"Rough Day?" Aaron asked I see the doors shutting as he seats himself at our shared desk, looking much calmer than I previously saw him at the apartments.

"You have no idea." I grumble and try to to smack down on the table because I really just wanted to sleep for the rest of my days and not have to deal with life.

"Try me." He responded flipping through the cameras, I couldn't tell if he was looking at them or me though, The bandana prevented me from telling.

"My rents gone up now that some new dudes bought the building." He growled under his breath and I spun around in my chair because I was bored.

"Yeah, I know, another hundred dollars tacked on to a hundred and fifty dollar rent, I got it too." I nodded, then I start thinking about living on the street again and my lungs jump into my throat.

"I can't afford it." I said dryly, and this caught his attention, and I could see his eyebrow raise under his bandana.

"Have you asked Gene to give you a raise?" I nodded again and he looked back at the screen thoughtfully.

"He said he couldn't afford giving me a raise, it's not in the budget." I heard a thoughtful hum escape his mouth.

"Do you... have anywhere to go?" He asked, and I stared at him, I was unsure wether I should tell him anything personal, but, I did need someone to talk to.

"No. My Dad's never been in my life, and my Mom is... gone. Gene told me I could live with him but, if I'm to be honest, I'm really uncomfortable with the thought." He cocked his head and I knew he'd continue asking questions.

"Why? Isn't he your friend?" I sigh, and looked at the ground, why did he even care, he barely knew me.

"Yes, But, we were more than friends once, I lived with him for awhile and, I wasn't happy, I know he cared about me, I just, wasn't ready." I don't know why I was telling him this, but, he saved me last night, I knew I could trust him.

"Uh... I.... Could help." I looked back at him and I know I could see a pink ting on his cheeks.

"How so?" I asked, ready to decline any offer, I could trust him, yes, but there was still his mysterious demeanor that prevented me from excepting any help from him.

"I can give you the money. My father owns most of the land the town is built on, and I get a cut of it every month." I opened my mouth to protest, but he shot me down nearly instantly.

"I know we don't know each other that well, but I don't want you on the streets or somewhere you're uncomfortable being. I actually like you being around." I could tell that this man in front of me was just as nervous as I was about excepting money from a near stranger, but...

It's not like I had much of a choice.

"O-okay... but how will I pay you back, I don't want to have a debt to you."

He chuckled a little and shook his head, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"You don't have to, I don't need the money."

"No." I oppose. "I'm not taking money for free, that's wrong." His mouth opened a little, and I noticed that his canine teeth were very sharp, every human being had them, but these were almost like fangs.
