The sun glared in, arousing me from my slumber, my memory of the night before was foggy.

I heard Aaron sleeping beside me, and with that, my memory returned to me.

The candles had burned out, but the radio was still softly humming in the background, I felt my entire body tremble in realization of what we had done.

I got up, and I guess I expected to be sore, and although it didn't exactly feel good when I stretched out, it wasn't bad.

I found my clothes and slipped them on, my heart wouldn't stop racing, I knew what we had done, and without protection, I wasn't worried about any illness, but I was worried about becoming a momma.

I heard a loud groan and Aaron rose out of the covers like a dead man from the grave, he looked at me for a moment, his ears lopsided and hair a hurricane.

Then an expression of dread creeped up on his face, one that I likely shared.

"Please tell me that I don't remember correctly, Please tell me you were on a pill." I shook my head and he gulped, he ran his fingers through his hair with sweat rolling down his cheeks.

"Oh Irene...... Have you taken a test yet?" I shook my head, and walked over to him.

"Even if I had, It would say negative, I need to wait two weeks before it'll tell." He grasped my hand and kissed it, looking up at me apologetically.

"I.... I'm definitely not ready to be a father, and I don't want to tie you to me. I-" I stopped him with my finger and smiled.

"It's alright, this is on the both of us, besides..." I trailed of and kissed him on the cheek.

"I wasn't planning on leaving anyway." He smiled and shifted under the blankets, he placed a hand on my flat stomach.

"Well... Even if you are... I.... I'll still be here, and, I'll try and be a good father." I giggled and shook my head.

"Don't get too emotional big guy, we don't know yet."  He chuckled and I ruffled his ears before walking out the room, the power was back, and I picked up my phone.

TheVioletLady is Typing:

Luka are you there?

LukaCola is Typing:

Yeah, what's up?

TheVioletLady is Typing:

Okay, what I'm about to tell you, you can't tell Katelyn. Okay?

LukaCola is Typing:

Yeah, Alright, is everything okay?

TheVioletLady is Typing:

So... what would you say if I said I might be pregnant?

LukaCola is Typing

Typing

Typing

I would say that you're lying.

TheVoiletLady is Typing:

Well....

LukaCola is Typing:

OH MY GOD APH!

TheVoiletLady is Typing:

I said might! It's nothing confirmed, Aaron and I just got a little too into the moment and I'm going to shut up now.

LukaCola is Typing:

Aphmau, this is a big deal, are you two financially stable? Is he okay with it?

I look away from the screen and see Aaron staring into space, he was slightly smiling.

TheVioletLady is Typing:

He seems okay,  he wasn't against the idea when it came to our attention.

LukaCola is Typing:

Okay, I can't believe you didn't use protection, but if you both are fine with the idea, you should be fine. Now I know why you didn't want Katelyn to know. I gotta get into work, we're talking later.

TheVioletLady is Typing:

Okay, later.

I threw the phone onto the couch and groaned, I was starving, but I knew eating would be difficult with my stomach turning like it was.

"Honey? Do you think we should move?" My cheeks flared with heat, I knew Aaron was talking to me, and his face was laced with concern.

"What? And since when do you call me honey?!"

"Since now, and do you think we should move, somewhere out of the city, somewhere in the country." I stopped myself from immediately saying no, because I didn't know why I didn't like the idea of the country.

"I've only been out of the city once, when I was very young and my parents were still together. I don't know..." He sat down on the couch next to me and smiled.

"I just think this apartment is getting smaller, and if you are.... with my child, it isn't the best place to raise a child, and definitely not one with werewolf blood." I thought, ran it through my mind, and sighed inwardly, he was right.

"I know, but where would we go? I've never lived in the country, and you know I'm a city girl." He chuckled and thought a little, then an idea spread over his face.

"What if we take a vacation, I'll take you the country, let you get accustomed, and then we'll talk more about a house somewhere." I nodded, but my brain started to piece together what he said.

"You.... want me to live with you, permanently?" His face went red, but he smirked nonetheless.

"Until I die." He said with dead seriousness, and I curled up in his warmth his arms wrapping around me.

"We still have to turn our files into the police, but that can wait." He held me close, sighing contently as the evening sun shone through the window.

"Right now, I want to hold my mate." I didn't register what he said until he started growling in my ear, I leaned back and looked at him.

"Your what?" He looked at me confused, his head tilted to the side.

"My mate, my partner for life." I held in a gasp, of course, this was a werewolf ritual, him making me wait until the full moon, making love to me when the time came, and we were now bonded in that way, I came to think of it as a werewolf marriage.

"Wait... are we.... married now?" He chuckled a little and shook his head.

"Not exactly, but we took unspoken vows, In a werewolf's eyes we are something stronger than marriage."  I leaned back into his chest, I expected to be perturbed by this, maybe scared, but I felt at peace.
