"Melissa!" Aaron hugged his sister firmly, then her eyes turned to me, I had forgotten I was wearing one of Aaron's shirts and she snickered.

"Oooh..... Heya Cutie...." I blushed a little, I wasn't expecting that, or anything, I felt a little vulnerable after last night.

"H-Hey..." Irene why was I so shy! I wanted to curl up behind Aaron and stay there, what was happening to me?

"Submissive Already? Jeeze Aaron, are you already that far into courting?" He about killed himself covering her mouth and giving her a death stare.

Her eyes went wide and she looked at me for a moment.

He removed his hand, sighing, but then she started an onslaught on questions that made my head spin.

"How much has he told you cutie?" I wish she would've stopped calling me that, but I at least started to get some of my confidence back.

"Don't call me Cutie, and I don't know what you're talking about." She was a little taken aback, but gave Aaron a stare.

Then dragged his to his room and locked the door behind them.

Thinking quickly, I went over and pressed my ear to the door, listening in.

"You haven't told her!" Melissa half yelled, and I heard Aaron nervously chuckling.

"It was on my to-do list." I heard Melissa growl and heard something similar to a slap across the face.

"You need to tell her before you finish courting her, cause it's gonna be a surprise when she's pregnant and gives birth to.....

I couldn't hear the rest of her sentence, but Aaron's response came out in a defensive and nervous yell.

"No! Melissa! Just because that's how Mum and Dad had us does not mean I'm going to get her pregnant." I was a beet red, I felt the feeling crawl up my neck again, like anxiety filling by being.

"Still, you're going to tell her, or before I leave, I will." I heard her stepping towards the door, so I started walking away to the kitchen.

I looked over at them curiously and Aaron gave me a nervous gaze while Melissa kept on a smile.

"So, I haven't properly introduced myself, I'm Melissa, Aaron's sister." She held out her hand and I took it, still feeling a little exposed.

But, still what they said was buzzing around in my head, Aaron was hiding something, something big, and I was gonna to figure out what.

"Aphmau.... h-his girlfriend."  She grinned widely but patted my head, somehow it made me feel slightly better, but I wasn't going to admit that.

"Please don't pat me." I said slowly, and she quickly moved her hand.

"I'm sorry. Your just so short, it's hard not to." I growled and bared my teeth like some kind of wild animal, but Aaron chuckled making me immediately fall silent.

"Aph come on, you are short. But that's what makes you so cute." He ruffled my hair and used me as an armrest, it did not help my temper, and I crossed my arms.

"Awww... cute...." Melissa quickly shook off her emotions and cleared her throat.

"Anyway, you wanted to get into Dad's office right?" She spoke pure business and Aaron's stance immediately changed as well.

"Yes, He'll get suspicious if I'm with Aph or Alone, but with you here, he might let it slide past his radar."

She nodded for a moment, but I saw a light go off in her head.

"Or you could not be Aaron." I cocked my head in confusion, Aaron looked less confused, but not at all willing.

"No. He'll recognize me." Melissa thinks for a moment more then looks at me, and I suddenly get a ball of that anxiety rolling up into my chest.

"He won't recognize her." Aaron looks at me for a moment, and then glares angrily at his sister.

"Not a chance." He sounded so serious, and angry, I had no idea what they were talking about but Melissa was not backing down.

"Not permanently, you know there's a temporary solution, she wouldn't feel anything." Suddenly, a deep, guttural sound erupted from the man next to me, a low, savage growl that went beyond the realm of human.

"No." He ended the word in a very noticeable bark and Melissa stepped back a little.

"O-Okay..... Okay. We'll go your way. But it'll have to be done tomorrow, Dad won't be in his office then." He nodded looking away from me and clearing his throat.

"Thank you." Aaron muttered, his voice deeper now and more strained, Melissa patted his shoulder.

"Go sort your voice out, and your welcome." He went into the bathroom, and Melissa glanced at me.

"So... how much do you know about him?" She pointed to the bathroom door and I looked down to think for a moment.

I know his two favorite colors are black and red, I know he loves video games, he's a little self-conscious about how he looks-especially his eyes and-" She stopped me and shook her head.

"Do you know why he doesn't like his eyes." I open my mouth to answer, but I realize I don't have an answer to it.

"No... He never told me." She sighed and looked at the bathroom door again.

"Don't tell him I told you this, but, his eyes are... special, they change color, they go red when he's upset, he doesn't like to show them because it freaks some people out." I light went off in my head, all those times I thought I saw him with crimson eyes, and I thought it was a trick of the light.

"I've seen them before...." She gasped and looked incredulously at me, like I had just grown a second head.

"I've never made eye contact, only as a passing moment, I thought it was a trick of the light."  She calmed down a little but still looked a little shaken.

"When was this?" She asked, I could tell she was still hiding something from me, but I wasn't going to pry.

"Usually in the mornings, when he first gets up." She shook her head but looked at me.

"Well, just, don't make eye-contact when their red okay, he'd feel really embarrassed if you did." I nodded and at that same time, he arose from the bathroom.

"Alright, we still got time, Aph, you should go with Melissa, get to know her, I'll get ready for tomorrow." I wanted to protest, as she made me feel so squeamish, but something inside of me told me not to.

"Yeah! Then I can tell you more about our family!" Aaron gave her a look, but smiled at me.

"Take care babe. Be back before midnight, we still have to work."

"I will! See ya!" Melissa nearly drug me out of the apartment, but a question still swarmed in my mind like a nest of wasps.

What were they hiding?
