I gazed across the open ocean spread before me, the vastness of it all still causing me to go speechless despite having lived the life of a sailor for so long.  The water sparkled like a thousand diamonds as the sun began to set, turning the sky a deep shade of res and orange.

"Keith get back to work! We have to raise the sails before the sun goes down completely" yelled Shiro, our captain, while working the helm of our beautiful ship, Lady Altea.

I took one last glance at the water before hoisting my body up the rigging to joint Pidge and Allura in bring up the sails. After our duties where done for the night, the lot of us lounged around on deck until Hunk brought us a delicious dinner he had made.

The crew sang and danced but I hung back. I preferred to watch them rather then join it. Unconsciously, my gaze shifted back to the sea which had now become a dark, almost black, blue under the navy sky pinpricked by stars. The stars always fascinated me. They were what guided the captain on our adventures and they were what brought us back home safely. The night was still and the water peaceful and I resorted to remain staring into the dark abyss, my thoughts drifting to the small waves lapping at the sides of the ship. It was all so very peaceful, a calm settling over my mind. I almost fell asleep before I heard a splash from a few feet away. My eyes snapped open from their previous droopy stage, my long black hair falling in my face at the sudden motion. By the time I pushed the stubborn mess behind my ear, whatever had made the splash was long gone. Oh well. It would have been perfect to see a pretty dolphin or fish coming to say hello.

With a sigh I withdrew from my spot leaning on the railing and heading below deck, calling it a night.

I watched as he gazed across the oceans surface and then up at the sky studying the stars with a fond smile on his face. This man was beautiful. More beautiful then any sailor I had ever seen. More beautiful then anything I have ever seen if I was being completely honest. I really wanted to know who this man was. Cautiously I swam close to the surface to get a better look at the handsome man. I wanted to get a better look at his eyes so I slowly reached up and broke the surface of the water with my hand causing a small splash to occur but it was enough to make him turn his head towards the sound. And my god, his eyes were beautiful. I watched him state intently at the water just a little ways from me before sighing and getting up, leaving the rail. My heart sank as I lost sight of him. What could I do to meet the beautiful creature with a mullet that resided on that ship.

I swam home contemplating many ideas that all ended horribly but what can I say, I'm Lance McClain and I really want that man.

I woke to Pidge knocking me right out of my hammock. Groaning, I rose from the floor casting a death glare at Pidge which they responded to with a smirk before heading up the stairs onto the deck. After changing, I made my way on deck as well to be met with the sight of land in the distance.

"LAND HO!!!" I heard Pidge cry from her post in the crows nest.

"Alright crew, prepare to land we will be making a stop for supplies" said Shiro.

I began working along side the crew, preparing to dock.

I woke up to streams of sunlight filtering in my window from the surface. Stretching I yawned before jumping out of bed and humming an old sailors tail I once heard the crew of Lady Altea singing while I completed my morning beauty routine.  Speaking of the crew I need to go find the ship again! I hurried through the rest of the routine, quickly packing a small bag with some food before making my way from my home, attempting not to be spotted. I successfully made it out of the village without being seen and headed straight for the surface. I could see Lady Altea moving on the surface so I swam to catch up.
