Falling to freedom

I don't understand this world
As the people in it smile
While behind their smiles
Their tears fall down as the rain
Walls breaking down
As high buildings will give them
the illusional wings to fly
To give them the feeling
To be free
To be away
from the bounds of their society
Only for some mere seconds
Until their wings are torn away
As they leap into their fate
Crashing down
Falling hard
Into the concrete
of this hateful world
That we all secretly
want to escape
From the illusion
that we're all equal
But, instead
were being judged
By our grades
By our behaviour
By our intelligence
We humans
We are not made to fly
But, still we try
Just to feel the wind trough our hair
To feel free
But, every bird has to land sometime
And when they do
They wont fly again
As they are gonna be a prisoner
In a wooden box
Shaped to fit them
Waiting for them
As they will then be there
for eternity
And just like them
Were all 'hell bound'

As we once searched freedom
We are now captive
In the darkness
of a wooden box
Under a pile of dirt
