Chapter 36: Lies

"What's going on here?" A male voice said.

We all looked to see the Big Five. Asano was the one that had spoken.

"Great." I mumbled as I rolled my eyes.

I look at the Big Five. The girls had turned from protective lions to cute little kittens. Only take out the cute and add pathetic.

"We were trying to get them to take the photo of you guys covered in feathers down." One of the girls said.

I yawned. Four of the Big five glared at us. Asano then did something surprising. He said it was okay and how we shouldn't use violence to solve things. Ember lightly elbowed me to get my attention. She motion with her head for us to leave and I nodded. We both turned and began walking away. No one noticed.

"I wonder how long it will take them to notice we've walked away." Ember asked when they were out of hearing range.

"Hey! Asano was talking you so show some respect and listen!" The lead girl yelled.

"Not long." I said.

We both raised our hands as we flipped them off and continued to walk away. Ember and I moved out of the way when the girls tried to tackle us. The Big Five stopped when the girls pilled up where Ember and I had once been standing. We exchanged look. I crouched beside the pilled girls.

"Sheesh. I've seen snails move faster than you girls." I said.

This angered the girls to such an extent that they didn't know what to say. I smirked then stood and continued to walk away. Ember followed.

I looked back and sighed in relief when I couldn't see them anymore.

"If Karma was here they wouldn't have bugged us." I said and Ember nodded.

A vehicle stopped a little ways ahead of us and Asano stepped out. I sighed.

"Now what?" I asked no one in annoyance.

"What do you want, Feathers?" Ember asked.

"There is one little question I would like to ask you two." Asano said.

Ember and I exchanged looks. We returned our gaze to Asano.

"You two have perfect grades and havs done nothing to be put in E-Class yet you are. Why is that?" Asano asked with a smile.

"Trying to get some dirt on your father?" Ember asked.

Asano shrugged.

"That's are business. So back off." I said as I walked passed the strawberry blonde haired boy.

Ember followed.

"Wait." Asano said.

I looked back to see Asano had grabbed Ember's arm.

"I need to talk to you." He then looked at me. "Alone."

"Um." Ember said then looked at me.

"It's okay. I'll wait for at that bench down there." I said pointing at a bench a little ways down.

"Just don't tell him anything about E-Class." I mind linked.

"I know the drill." Ember said back.

I walked to the bench and sat down. I took out my phone and stared at the screen. I don't know what to do. I should probably call Father and tell him we may be a little late.

I looked up at my sister to see Asano had pinned Ember to the vehicle and was kissing her. His hand was on her side and Ember's eyes were widened. She relaxed and kissed him back. I smiled.

"I knew she had a crush on him." I mumbled to myself then frowned. "I just hope no one from E-Class gets on her case about it when they find out."

I looked down at my phone and began playing a game on my phone. I stopped playing and looked up at my sister when she walked up beside me. I looked up at her.

"So, are you two dating now?" I asked as I got to my feet.

"N-no." Ember stuttered as her cheeks heated up.

I raised an eyebrow. Ember's cheeks heated up even more. Would she tell me if she was? I think she would.

"Okay. Lets get home then." I said then began walking home.

Ember and I walked home in silence. I looked at Ember wondering something.

"Hey. Would you date Asano if he asked you?" I asked.

"I don't know." Ember said as she thought about that. "Probably not."

"Why?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Well, because he's A-Class and I'm E-Class. That would cause more trouble for E-Class since he's so popular." Ember said then smiled. "Plus, that would ruin my E-Class image." She joked.

I laughed then nodded my head.

"Yes, that probably would." I said nodding my head.

We got home and I headed to the pack house to help father. Ember came along to hang out with some pack members.

"You know. I just realized something." Ember said as welked down the street to meet up with Karma.

"And what is that?" I asked.

"Several of our pack members go to the same school as us." Ember said.

"Why do you think some of the students don't mess with us? We could easily take them down and their families as well." I said. "But we wouldn't do that unless we had too."

Ember nodded. It's been days since that day Asano kissed Ember and so far no one's heard about it. Which is good.

Also, after the movie, Nagisa and Karma were to write about that movie they saw. I don't remember what it was they had to write about though. I smiled when I saw Karma up ahead.

"You're so lucky to have someone like Karma." Ember said.

"Yeah." I said. "But I sometimes wonder if I made the right choice."

"Well, he really loves you and you love him. It doesn't take someone with my ability to see that. You two were meant for one another." Ember said.

All I could do was smile. Karma intertwined our fingers and gave me a quick peck on the lips when we neared him. We then walked to the train station and then to school. All three of us were having a great time. That is until a gang of girls approached us. None of them looked happy but I could see fear in their eyes. Probably because of Karma. That boy doesn't have a good reputation with the rest of the school.

"Now what?" I asked.

"I'm guessing you're Ember." One of the girls said as she pointed at Ember.

"Um...yeah. And?" Ember asked confused.

"Who do you think you are?" Another girl asked.

Ember and I exchanged looks.

"How could I what?" Ember asked confused.

"Date Asano. He belongs to us." The first girl said.

Ember and I exchanged looks again then busted out laughing. Now the girls were confused.

"Who said I was dating him? I wouldn't date him even if someone paid me." Ember said.

Lie. She would date him. Even if someone didn't pay her. I could tell her wolf wanted him but her human side was struggling on a decision.

"It's a rumor going around and Asano said..." A third girl began.

"Asano? Do you believe everything they say. Especially him. Not everything someone says is fact. You need to get your facts straight before you start accusing someone." Ember said angrily.

"Humph. And you call yourselves elite." I said.

We then began walking towards the E-Class building. I could tell Ember was now mad. She hated when someone lied about her. Especially when they lie and say she's dating them. I could tell Asano was going to get a mouth full from her when she sees him again.
