I stood behind a tree with two boys, Sugino and Nagisa, planning to assassinate Korosensei, the name chosen for Mach 20. They decided to ask me to join them. I did because I had nothing else to do.

"Hmm. The moon is all they're about in the states too. Does no one care about anything else?" Korosensei asked no one in particular as he read a newspaper from Hawaii and drank a Hawaiian smoothie.

"There he is. Chilling out back before the first bell. Not a care in the world. Reading a Hawaiian newspaper causally picked up from Hawaii on the way here. Nice. Good work, Nagisa. I owe you one." Sugino said.

"You're welcome. Best of luck, Sugino." Nagisa said.

Nagisa pulled a baseball with Anti-sensei BBs on it out of his pocket and handed it to Sugino. I had a feeling this wouldn't work but didn't want to burst Sugino's bubble.

"Ten billion big, here I come." Sugino said.

He did a signature baseball position then threw the baseball at Korosensei. The baseball got closer and closer to Korosensei and I actually began thinking this would work. That was until...

"Top of the mornin' to ya." Korosensei chimed from behind us.

All three of us spun around to see Korosensei standing behind us.

"It's usually considered polite to reply." Korosensei said.

Sugino looked from Korosensei's now empty chair to Korosensei and back again. He looked shocked. Don't see why. Korosensei's speed is no surprise.

"Um. Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir. Good morning, Sir." Nagisa said nervously.

"A baseball invented with government issued Anti me BBs? Creative. Points for choosing a method of delivery required in pop of a standard air lifeful. Unfortunately, once airborne, the weapon gave me nothing but time. And for the opportunity, in fact, to organize a defense maneuver. A quick visit to the equipment room and ta-da! I had parten the fun, a handy solution." Korosensei said holding up his hand with Sugino's steaming baseball in a baseball glove.

Sugino gasped in horrified shock while Nagisa sweatdropped.

"Tick tock, Children. Graduation will be here before you know it." Korosensei said with green stripes on his face before it went back to normal. "Right then. Homeroom, if you would please."

Sugino sighed in defeat.

"Yes, Sir." He said.

Nagisa and I exchanged looks. Nagisa looked concerned. I could care less.

In class, Korosensei was telling us about something but I wasn't paying attention. As usual. Suddenly, there was a gust of wind.

"Sugaya!" Korosensei yelled.

I looked over at Sōsuke Sugaya. He looked nervous as he stared up at our teacher.

"Not a bad likeliness, I will give you that. But I'm a little hurt by the jaw line." Korosensei said showing the class Sugaya's notebook with a drawing of Korosensei.

"You don't have a jaw!" Sugaya yelled.

The bell rang signaling lunch. Korosensei walked over to the window and opened it. He turned to the class.

"That's lunch people. If you'll excuse me, I have some important off campus business to attend to." Korosensei said.

"Tofu in China." Isogai guessed.

"Actually, I'm catching a ball game in the big apple. Chow." Korosensei said and with that he was gone.

"He sure knows how to make an exit." Yoshida said.

"I know. That thing is starting to get on my nerves." Terasaka said.

"You get on my nerves." I said rewarding me a look from Terasaka.

I looked over at the boy with the multicolored hair.

"What?" I asked in a monotone.

He said nothing. He averted his eyes to his desk.

"Talk about unfair. We're stuck here while he flies all over the world. He could at least bring souvenirs." Hinano complained.

"Think about what he'd probably being back. Are you heart up for mordor shop?" Megu (Meg) Kataoka asked standing in front of Hinano's desk.

"I'm just saying an exotic snack would be nice. It's not like he has to sneak it passed customs." Hinano said.

"You've obviously dedicated a lot of thought to this." I said.

"So, hey, what's New York's cheap export?" Isogai asked.

"I don't know. Booze?" Someone said.

"Sucks for not drinking age." Maehara joked.

I rolled my eyes. Weirdos.

"What about something greasy from one of them food trucks?" Hinano asked.

"I could go for that right about now." Someone said.

"Man. New York girls are hot. Especially the blondes." Okajima fanboyed.

Many boys in class agreed. I rolled my eyes once more.

"Oh. Mr. Karasuma." Isogai said gaining everyones attention.

We all looked at the doorway to see Mr. Karasuma standing there with two other men.

"Children. Any luck on killing the tentacled menus?" Mr. Karasuma asked.

"Define progress?" Nagisa asked.

Everyone in class sighed and some put their heads down. I didn't really care.

"Yeah. This is E-Class. You gotta lower your expectations." Kirara Hazama said.

"All do respect, Sir. He's too quick." Isogai said.

"Like, so quick you can't see him sometimes." Mimura said.

"You said so yourself. He clocks out at Mach 20. How do we kill something like that?" Someone asked.

"I don't know. But you kids better figure it out." Karasuma said.

"Seriously." Okajima complained.

"Seriously. You're the only hope we"ve got. He teaches willingly. Putting himself in the line of fire by choice." Karasuma said and everyone but me groaned. "If we allow that creature to live, come March, Earth will totally be enaluated and in case any of you need a reminder of how powerful he is, take a look at what's left of our moon. That will be our planet in a year. In short, he's too dangerous to take lightly. That's why this classroom is the last stand between mankind and extinction." Karasuma lectured.

It's going to be difficult for us to assassinate Korosensei. E-Class is full of misfits, outcast, and a werewolf. And worst yet, we're bullied by A-Class down.

I sat alone eating my food. That is until Sumire Hara pulled her chair over and ate with me. She was the first one to set aside her fear and try to become my friend. We both ate in silence. That is until Sumire broke the silence between us.

"Hey, Amber. I have something to ask you." Hara said.

"What?" I asked looking at the girl beside me.

"Can you really turn into a wolf?" Hara asked.

"Um. Well, yeah." I said.

Hara nodded.

"Um. I'm going to go see how Sugino's doing. He took his assassination attempt failure to heart." I said.

"Okay." Hara said.

I sighed in relief as I walked out of the classroom. I always get asked that. Hara had been kind enough to wait instead of just coming out with it like the others had done. Everyone is still afraid of me though. But that fear seems to be slowly fading away.

I looked out the window to see Sugino tangled up in Korosensei's tentacles. I could see Nagisa already running up to Korosensei and his tangled up friend. Maybe Nagisa can help Sugino out. If not, to bad.
