Chapter 19: Board Chairman Asano

"Now then, shall we begin?" Korosensei said as he and his duplicates raced around helping the students.

Everyone had beads of sweat on their face.

"Begin what?" Sugaya asked.

Each had a headband and was helping all the students. Mostly with their worst subject. My worst subject is science. I'm terrible at science. All the other ones I have down but science is a different story.

"Midterm exams are approaching." The Korosensei with the Japanese headband said.

"Yup. That's right." The Korosensei with the Math headband said.

"And so, this period,-" The Korosensei with the Social Studies headband began.

"-I shall conduct an intense high-speed studying station." The Korosensei with the Science headband said.

"Korosensei duplicates will thoroughly go over-" The Korosensei duplicate with the Math headband began.

"-each of your weak subjects individually one-on-one." The Korosensei duplicate with the English headband said.

"What a waste of time. Even going through the trouble of having headbands marked with different subjects..." Terasaka began but stopped when he realized what headband his Korosensei duplicate had on was.

His was a Naruto headband.

"Why the heck is mine the only 'Naruto' one!" Terasaka shouted in anger.

"Yours is a special curriculum. You are weak in multiple subjects, after all." The Korosensei duplicate said.

I took notes as the Korosensei duplicate with the Science headband helped me. I suddenly looked up and tilted my head in confusion at Korosensei's head. It looked as if someone had punched his head in and now he has a dent.

"Please don't try to assassinate me all of a sudden, Karma." Korosensei said and I looked at the red haired boy in the desk beside me. "When I dodge, it affects all my after images, you know! These duplicates are surprisingly delicate."

Karma stuck out his tongue and I shook my head. That boy is strange. We basically studied all day. At the end of the day, I walked out of the building. On the way out Nagisa and I stopped. Korosensei had walked into the teachers lounge before we stopped to eavesdrop.

The Kunugigaoka Private School Board Chairman Asano was here talking to Karasuma and Professor B*tch. Nagisa and I sweatdropped when Korosensei found out who he was and started giving him special treatment. I shook my head.

He is humble and subservient to his superiors.

"I'd like to apologize as well." Board Chairman Asano said as he stood up and faced Korosensei. "I kept thinking I'd come and introduce myself at some point, but never got around to it. Mr. Karasuma and the ministry of defense have told mr about you. Well, I'm not quite knowledgeable enough to understand all of it, but you are quite a pitiful creature, aren't you? Intending to become the world's savior, you've been reduced to its destroyer instead. Well, I have no intention of raising a fuse over that here." The Board Chairman began walking towards Karasuma. "We are alike in that no matter how much we struggle, we can't save the world from crisis." He put his hand beside his mouth as if he was going to whisper to Karasuma. "Most of the time, I'll have a hands-off policy towards the assassination. I'll have plenty to keep me occupied with keeping it secret, after all."

That wasn't much of a whisper.

"That will be helpful." Karasuma said.

"You have a pretty rational outlook. I don't particularly dislike men like that." Professor B*tch said.

"I'm honored." The Board Chairman said with a smile.

He sat on the windowsill then continued.

"However, as the head of this school, what I must consider is what to do in case the Earth continues to survive beyond the upcoming year. In other words, the future of this school in the event someone manages to kill you. Frankly, it will be problematic if Class E doesn't remain as is." The Board Chairman said.

"When you say "as is", do you mean the current situation where their grades and treatment are the lowest of the low?" Korosensei asked.

"Yes. Are you familiar with the rule of worker ants. It states that no matter how many are in a group, 20 percent are lazy, 20 percent work, and the remaining 60 percent are ordinary. My aim is a group where 5 percent are lazy and 95 percent work. 'I don't want to become like Class E.' 'Class E is the one place I don't want to go.' With 95 percent of the students strangely believing such things we can achieve that ideal ratio." The Board Chairman said.

"I see. That's quite logical. Then it's a problem if Class E, the 5 percent, isn't weak and miserable." Korosensei said.

"Today, I received a complaint from Class D's homeroom teacher. 'A student from Class E ferociously at one of mine and the other nearly broke the other's arm." And on top of that, threatened 'To kill them.'" The Board Chairman said.

That's only half right. I could've broke his arm. But didn't. Next time I will.

"Seeing as they are carrying out an assassination, it's to be expected that they would have such an expression. By itself, that's fine. The problem lies in those with the lowest grades defying the ordinary students." The Board Chairman began walking towards the door. "Under my plan, that is unacceptable. Please sternly tell them to refrain from doing so in the future." He said reaching into his jecket and pulling something out. "Korosensei,-" He tossed a wire puzzle to him. "-please solve that within a second."

"Eh? So sudden." Korosensei freaked trying to solve the wire puzzle.

Korosensei ended up being tangled up in the wire puzzle. I tilted my head. How did he end up like that? The Board Chairman walked up to Korosensei, who lay tangled in the wire puzzle on the ground.

He has no patience for wire puzzles.

"Just as the rumors say, your speed is incredible. Certainly, like that, you could seemingly dodge any assassination." He got down on one knee. "But, you know, Korosensei, in this world, there are problems which cannot be solved through speed." He walked towards the door. "Well, I'll leave it at that."

Nagisa and I backed away when he walked out of the teachers lounge and closed the door. He looked at us.

"Hey there. I'm looking forward to your midterm exam results. Do your best." He said with a smile.

His son looked so much like him. That strawberry blonde hair boy from yesterday. With that, he walked away.

Nagisa and I exchanged looks. We walked out where Karma was waiting. We then walked towards the train station together.

"I have multiple my effects even further. Now, lets begin class." The Korosensei duplicates said.

Oh no. I guess Board Chairman Asano really got to Korosensei.
