Grayson and I are sitting next to each other again. I can't complain. Not now. I love being next to him. But, it kinda made the whole ignore-each-other-until-you-tell-everyone thing worse.

When everybody finishes eating, Grayson and I look at each other at the same time and nod. Ok, how should we start?

"Excuse me!"

Grayson says, and everyone stops talking. I hold my laughter back. It was probably the worst kind of beginning telling something so important. But, he's Grayson Dolan. It justifies everything.

"Thank you for coming today for Ethan's and I's birthday. I missed all of you." I subtly hit Grayson with my elbow. He looks at me, extremely anxious. He's so nervous about this, which makes him look even more cuter than before. "Right. What I wanna say is... Katherine and I are dating."

Our hands conjoin on the table. We look at each other and smile ear to ear.

"Finally!" my mom says and we look at her. My cheeks turn red.

"Exactly," Lisa adds and I blush even more.

"We are so happy for you, kids!" my dad says, and I look at him, but the only thing I see is him kissing Miss Reed. I turn my eyes to Grayson.

"We've been waiting for this moment for what- 16 years?" Sean laughed, and we all did the same.

"You are so cute together!" one of his grandmas suddenly says. I gulp and look at her.

"Thank you." we both answered in sync.

Chelsea and Ethan finally break all this awkwardness when they stand up and turn up the music. A few people start dancing, while Grayson and I sit at the table.

"You were so nervous!" I say, laughing.

"Oh, shut up. Of course I was nervous. You are the first girlfriend I present in front of my whole family." he leans in to kiss me, but my mom interrupts us.

"I knew you would end up dating. I am so, so, so happy for you!" we stand up and she hugs us both.

"Thank you, mom!"

"By the way, Grayson, can we talk?" she asks, and he looks at me worried. I nod, holding back my laughter.

"Of course, Andrea." he follows her almost screaming in fear.

As soon as they leave the living room, I burst out in laughter. Like, extremely hard. Chelsea and Ethan come to me and ask me why I'm laughing.

"Right now, our mom is talking to Grayson. You should've seen his face. He is scared to death." they start laughing with me.

"Poor, Grayson!" says Ethan, trying to stop laughing.

"Our mom is like a shark. She's not that bad, right?" Chelsea joked.

"Well, she once made an intern cry only because she didn't bring her coffee when she asked her." I reminded her, and we start laughing again.

"But, she can be nice. Right?"

Before Chelsea or I answer, Grayson and my mom walk back in. She smiles widely, but Grayson is so scared that he might have nightmares tonight. He comes to us, as we try to hold our laughter back.

"What did she tell you?" I ask him, biting my lip so I wouldn't laugh.

"Your mom is the scariest woman on Earth." he crashes on the chair, and we start laughing again.

"It's bad," Ethan says, still laughing.

"You think?" Grayson asks, and I laugh harder.

"Oh my God, babe! I'm so sorry for letting you go with her!"
