Chapter 9

Natsu continued battling Zeref. His eyes turned red, flickered to yellow, and back to red. Natsu's strength seemed to have increased as well.

Natsu punched Zeref in the face with his Fire Dragon Iron Fist. Zeref sent Natsu flying back with stronger black magic.

Just how strong was he? Natsu wondered.

Natsu's strength continued to increase as he beat Zeref up. Zeref was on the ground, smirking deviously.

He chuckled, evilly.

"I see my plan worked." He said.

"Huh?" Natsu said, confused.

"I kidnapped Lucy. To get you to come here." Zeref said.

"How dare you!" Natsu yelled, preparing to punch Zeref even more.

"Natsu! Touch your head!"

Natsu reaches up to his head. He felt points. Points that wasn't his hair. Points that were very sharp. Zeref created a mirror out of magic. So Zeref was useful for somethings.

Natsu looked in the mirror and saw horns on his head. Then, he saw the wings. He saw his once black eyes that were now red.

Natsu saw scales all over his skin. What the hell was happening?

Natsu grabbed Zeref by the collar.

"What did you do!?" He screamed.

"I simply lured you here, to tell you the truth about yourself."

Natsu listened closely to everything.

"I'm a demon created to destroy you!? I'm your little brother!? I'M A F*CKING DEMON!?" Natsu yelled, pulling out clumps of hair from stress.

"Yes. And Mavis is your sister in law."

Natsu froze. He slowly turned around.

"You mean. You and Mavis are married?"

Zeref nodded.

"First Master married a damn dark wizard!? I thought she was better than this!"

"Natsu. Shut up."

Natsu continued yelling and complaining.

"Now Natsu. If your finished with that "fit" you just had, I'm going to tell you what we can do to get rid of the horns, the scales, the wings, and everything that screams "demon" about you."

"Okay. Tell me."

Zeref explained to Natsu that he'd have to leave Lucy and go with him to the Alvarez.

Natsu's eyes widened.

"You mean I have to leave my girlfriend for how long!?"

"Estimated time will be about four years."

Natsu flipped when he heard that.

He had to leave the love of his life for himself. He really was selfish. But he also wanted her to be safe. That's not selfish, right?

Natsu began contemplating how he would tell Lucy that he had to leave her for four years.

This was going to be hard.
